We will be traveling with the in laws and have connecting staterooms. Can the divider between the vereandahs be removed? Do I have to request it or will it be done automatically?

Most of the time the verandah divider can be open. When you meet your room steward just let them know you're connecting with your inlaws and mention the divider. The room steward can open it for you.

They do not. There may be one or two exceptions, but as a general rule, no. Unless the Magic changes that!

We did this with three verandahs!! It was awesome!! here is a picture to show you how much more room you get
