question about annual passes

We have a vacation booked for Sept. We got in on the free dining plan. We are also going back in Nov. I ran the prices and it would be cheaper if we get annual passes instead of buying tickets for both times. I have a couple of questions though... how easy is it to upgrade to a season pass now that we have paid for our first trip? And also .. do the 365 days start when you purchase the passes or is it a calendar year? One more thing...will it effect the special dining promotion we have? Thanks in advance for your answers

Thanks so much for all the information! My husband talked to his sister yesterday and she said she did not know that we would be able to upgrade our tickets because of having the free dining. And I told him it seems we could. Now I know all the information and I can show him tonight :sohappy: Thanks again!

Your annual pass become effective the first day you use it not the day you purchase it.

If you purchase your AP at the parks, it is effective immediately. The dates are printed right on the cheap piece of paper that counts as an AP now(Whatever happened to the nice plastic cards with your photo on them, anyways:shrug:??).

Actually, you can purchase either a voucher or a pass at the parks. When the voucher is exchanged for a pass and it is used, it becomes effective. However, MYW tickets can only be upgraded to an active pass.
