Purchasing a Specific Disney Store Item

Hello!

My name is Ren, I'm new here! I'll be traveling to Orlando in a few weeks and will be visiting the Magic Kingdom for one day (I've been to the parks a few times before, but this year I'll be running short on time so I'll stay with MK only).

I've had my eyes set on a specific product from the Disney Store. However, according to the official app it's only available in a store inside Hollywood Studios. Since I'm not from the US, I really can't use a credit card to place an order for that item . So my questions is: is there any way to order a product from the Disney Store and pay/pickup elsewhere (e.g at Disney Springs)?

Dis any of you ever have this experience? Is the app tracking accurate?

Hello! When I was there last Nov 2016, I was stuck in the same boat! I'm from Canada eh? lol

I was told I could use the Shop Disney Parks app, buy my item and have it sent to my disney resort hotel. The problem was that I could not find that app anywhere!

Then I realized that because my itunes account was Canadian, I wasn't able to see the US Disney shopping app. I then discovered that in order to download it, I would have to change my itunes settings to American and go through the whole set up process again. Very frustrating, and I wasn't willing to do it.

So I left empty handed.

Maybe this will change though! Right now, I think the only option is to buy it through the Disney Store website, and pay the outrageous shipping/exchange costs. Perhaps you could find your item on amazon or ebay - but again, high shipping costs.

I wanted the Mickey flatware set (it was sold out when I was in Florida), and we finally broke down and bought it off amazon, and paid WAY more than what we would have paid for it in Disney. I couldn't even find it on the disney store website, so I was nervous that it was being discontinued or something.

Please, if someone knows information about this that can help us foreigners (lol), please share with us I'll be going back again this fall and would dearly love a simpler solution!

I am so in love with the Star Wars Mini backpack from Loungefly! It gets me kind of upset even thinking that I won't be able to get it! Hah

The World of Disney in Disney Springs has several shops in the back corner (by where the ESPN shop used to be) that sells Disney/Star Wars bags, purses, and luggage. I would check there as they tend to have some of the hard to find items.

When I checked in the app, it said the item is only available in Hollywood Studios. Not sure if the tracking is accurate, though! Will definitely be checking this store out in DS! Who knows, right? Thank you!

Did you check the Loungefly website to see if it's there and possible for you to order directly from them? I know they have several Disney/SW items for sale on their website.

I did! They only have the older version of the backpack - needless to say that I like the new one better haha. I guess my solution will be to order the old one with Paypal through their website before I go and try to forget that the new design even exists

There is a US website / retail store chain called Hot Topic that has a extensive and rather nifty selection of official Disney merchandise, including Loungefly licensed gear.
You may be able to find and purchase the mini backpack you are looking for through their website here -
