Our trip isn't until Feb but I purchased the photo pass early to get the discount. http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx
Should I be receiving something in the mail before my trip? It's kinda hard for my mind to understand paying 100.00 on not having anything in my hands! LOL. Someone please let me know what I can expect from this pre purchased photo pass

I think that the photopass idea is such a great one (well done Disney!) and so much better than the having to buy lots of loose photos at various booths. I am planning to create the gorgeous Disney photoalbum as a mememto of our trip when we get home. I read some where that you can upload your photos to use in the album as well. I may order the CD as well if we have some good photos especially if DD Bibiddi photos come out well. Do you know if you preorder the CD whether you can get a refund if you decide not to go ahead with it when you get home?

I don't believe you'll be receiving anything in the mail. When you get to WDW, on your first day, find a Photopass photographer. They aren't hard to find--they're wearing a khaki vest and carrying a really big camera. Get your picture taken, and you'll be given a plastic Photopass card. From then on, whenever you see a Photopass photographer in an interesting location, get your picture taken. You can use the same Photopass card to keep track of your photos. Get as many pictures as you want: you've pre-payed for every picture taken during your trip. There are Photopass photographers at nearly every character meet-and-greet, at every park entrance and icon and in many, many other places. Test Track onride photos are also Photopass-enabled.

Be sure to write down the number on the back of your Photopass card(s), just in case.

Once you get home, order your CD through the Photopass website and you will get every picture taken during your trip, no matter how many.

Everything everyone told you was right. Just get a photopass from the first photographer you see. Fill it up with as many photos as your family will put up with. Feel free to grab a photographer if you are waiting for a parade and eating ice cream and want your photo taken with ice cream all over your faces. You don't have to do just what the posed shots are. Be sure to get ALL the MAGIC photos taken in the parks: MK: Tinkerbell, Captain Hook (by POTC), Haunted Mansion, Stitch. EC: Tinkerbell. Studios: Stitch (different one). AK: Simba. Have the photopass ready to go for character meet and greets (the ones you queue up for). If you go to Cinderella's Royal Table, or you purchase photos from any other character meal, take the number in the upper left corner of the photo and add that to your photopass. When you go to the boutique have the card ready for the photographers. When you go to the studio to have the formal portraits taken, have the card ready. Take day time and night time photos. Come up with your own creative ideas for photos.

Then when you go home, go to the website, pull up each of your photos. Edit them, decorate them with Disney borders and signatures and overlays. Save each edit. Go back to the original photo and edit again and again as many times as you like. All your edits will now be on your account as well as the original photos. If you took 200 photos, you might have 800 photos now. Then order the CD. The web site should say $125, but then when you enter your promo code, the price will go down to $0. Your CD will be mailed to you in about a week.

And write the number of the card down somewhere and keep it somewhere safe. With just the number, we can find your photos if you lose your card.

If you decide not to do the CD after pre-purchasing it, I believe they will refund your money.

We just did the PhotoPass 2 weeks ago. I was thrilled with it!
When you pre-order, they will send you an email with the promo code. Keep that code in a safe place because you are going to type it in when you are ready to get the actual CD.
I had a blast cropping and editing, adding borders and trim. There were 4 of us, so I edited some of the shots to group 2 of us together or just one person if they came out especially good. So, a picture is not a total loss if someone is blinking. Remember that you get to keep the original shot along with every one of your edited versions of that same pic. I ended up with sometimes 5 or 6 pictures from one original. Our Test Track pic was fun to edit. I was able to pretty much edit out the strangers that were in the car with us! When I finished editing and ordered the CD, it came really fast with just the standard shipping!

When you purchase the CD, there is an image included of a waiver, stating that you own the rights to these pictures. That makes it legal for Walgreens or anyplace else to reproduce the pictures for you.

Oh yes, the fine print says that you can get your money back on the pre-paid PhotoPass up to 2 weeks after your trip ends. After that time, you are committed, so get busy reviewing and editing as soon as you get home. I'm pretty much sure that you will love the pics and want to buy the CD.
Good Luck!

Pose for alot of pics as Gorjus stated above. I also would like to add that there are so many moments at the meet & greets that the photopass photographers capture that you may not being caught up in the moment. I love it and get it every trip.
Have fun!
