any fellow pumpkin carvers out there? i look forward to Halloween every year just to carve pumpkins! i even thought about trying to carve other things (watermelons, anything with a thick, durable skin) during the year, just to satisfy myself. has anyone here ever tried that?
anyway, what i was going to ask....i've always wanted to try the sculpting thing, where you don't carve out whole chunks, just cut designs into the skin. i've never done this before, but dad and i bought a sculpting kit with the tools, patterns, instructions and such. so what i was wondering, is it fairly easy to do? and also, how long does the pumpking last after doing it? i know with regular carving it depends on temperature, skin type of the pumpkin, and design of the carving (the less you carve, the longer it lasts) i image with sculpting, the pumpkin would last a lot longer since it remains completely in tact, but i thought i would ask you fine people about it to make sure
