Hmmm. What a morning to wake up to...My years..70's. In 1975 I met bowies guitarist Mick Ronson. ( Ronno ) at a party after a Ian Hunter/ Mick Ronson gig.I got an invite to the gig & after show party on Glasgow.Still have my photo on the wall.Me & the spider from Mars..R.I.P.

Pre Disney and pre-sister's wedding this year. Yikers! I will take any of those song suggestions if it helps me pick up the pace a little, or distract me from the brutal workout. Johnny Cash Get a Rhythm and Tom Petty's American Girl are two of my go to songs on that work out list.
Little shoe shine boy never gets low down. ( Get Rhythm ) We do a rip roaring version of " Big River " ;)

Thing is.I have always listened to a lot of music from stateside and I'am influenced in that in what I play..I remember the first time we played " April Wine " song " Just between You & me " and so many people later were asking me what was that love song you did? Who sang it ? Same goes with a couple of "Cheap Trick " songs we do,always goes down well.

What a shame that one seems right ou your alley!! Black 47 NY Irish American rock and rap with a brogue.
Ok..Just googled Black 47.. No way could we play any of their material.Unless Ive read it wrong. They are a Celtic band with Irish republican views and sympathetic songs...Unfortunately our country is very bigoted and the Protestant V Roman Catholic thing will never cease.Every week the news has some conflict of fighting in Ireland. So if we were to play a tribute to any of their songs,it would be my last gig.We played at a 50th birthday party, but it was fancy dress. One dude turned up as Adolf Hitler, full uniform and wearing the wee moustache, swastikas and all. Guess what.? My German bass player didn't find it funny.( he's also of Jewish faith ) Exit, stage left.:(
