Psych-Night Rituals - I'm Going to Disneyworld

Over the years we've gone with all sorts of psych-night rituals the night before we leave for WDW. We've played Disney board games, watched classic Disney movies, and last year we watched Walt - the Man Behind the Myth.

This year we were thinking it might be fun for this group of 30-somethings to find and watch all of the old-school ABC TGIF shows' "We're Going to Disneyworld!" episodes. Full House, Roseanne, Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World, etc.

Other than YouTube, does anyone know if there is a central place on the internet to find these episodes?

Does anyone remember old TGIF shows other than the ones I have listed above that went to WDW?

Do you have a psych-night ritual? What do you do the night before you head out?

Actually I would go more for a Psyche Day Ritual...I head out to Chicago and go To The Museum of Science & Industry. This Museum to me has that Epcot-Ish feel to it and it's fun to go to when the schools are in session and it's nice and quiet..Then at night I go to this restaurant called RAM Brewery in Rosemont where they have a 1lb monster burger and I order that...I cut it in half eat the one half and save the other for a 2am meal while watching the Disney Screen Attractions on my 110" movie screen..and then it's off to the airport..

At first, I misread the title of this threado_O I thought it would be a cruel thread of tricking people into thinking they're going on a trip to WDW, and then you break it to them that they're not going, you yell, "Psych!"

Now that I've read the purpose of the thread (and chuckled a bit), I found this topic to be interesting and poised for other good ideas!

My family (my DH and I are 30-somethings), begin the "psych-process" after I've loaded all the luggage in the car! We then layout our Disney travel outfits, order in food (who wants to do dishes the night before a vacation begins; plus dishes are the bane of my existence), pull up YouTube videos on the TV and watch random Disney stuff! Our DVR is loaded with ALL of the episodes you were wondering about...heaven forbid our box burns out!!

However, to be totally honest of when we really start the psych-process is when I book our next trip. Every single day leading up to it has something Disney-related in it: whether it's listening to a Disney station on Live365.com, watching/listening to "Disney channels," creeping around this site, or checking off the days of our countdown!

But, I'll be more interested in what this thread produces!! Thanks for the ideas!

My family would go to red robin the night before. We would all listen to disney soundtracks/ look through pictures. Our flights always left around 4:30am, so my grandpa would spend the night (he always came with) and we'd all get up super early to go get a quick breakfast. The anticipation alone is enough to psych me! :)

I wish my wife and I could partake in a Psyche-night ritual but then our boys, ages 5 & 3, would wonder what was up. We keep our WDW trips a secret up until we pull up on site, if not they would be asking how much longer the entire trip. I would not be able to take that for an 8 hour trip.

Maybe we should do seomthing special after we put them down to bed?

hmmm, my usual night before disney used to be going to Buffalo and shopping at The disney Store (now closed) then staying in a hotel across from the airport, but now it depends on who I travel with.

I keep a lot of those episodes in my tivo. When they come on tv, I record them and keep them. I have the Sabrina the Teenage Witch one from the Hub, Roseanne episode from TVLand, Boy Meets World episodes from MTV2 etc. I love them.

You just reminded me ... I had an old-school Tivo running in our guest room for the longest time. I disconnected it all when we moved, but I still have it. I wonder if it still works. I had all those Disney episodes on there too. Might be worth digging it out of storage and hooking it up.
