Proof that you can not park at the Contemporary & walk to the Magic Kingdom

Let's just face facts. We all know the CM will not stop people from parking at the Contemporary & going to the Magic Kingom. They will not stop people from using old mugs at their Resorts because I am sure other people do use old mugs.

OMG I am so much stupider for having read this thread.

I have PROOF that you CAN park at the Contemporary and walk into the MK. I've done it many times. No doubt I will be condemned by God for such an aggregious, horrendous thing as saying "I'm going to your arcade." Oh well. Seriously, during busy periods, when they really do not have any excess parking available, they simply don't let non-resort guests in for any reasons, short of showing your confirmation #/Priority Seating resrevation for a restaurant. This is rare though, usually only Christmas week.

The truth is Ive dropped so much frickin money in that Contemporary arcade to redeem my tickets for army men and pencil erasers, that in reality I deserve my own personal parking space at the Contemporary to park there whenever I feel like it.

Regardless, since I can park for FREE anywhere on Disney property as a CM, I am not stealing anything from Disney by parking at the Cont. and walking to MK. They do not charge me at the parking booths, so I am not depriving them of revenue in any way.

In other news, re-using old mugs is nothing short of stealing. Otherwise, I and every cast member in orlando could have unlimited free drinks for life by simply buying that mug one time. To re-use an old mug is to deprive Disney of revenue in an illegal manner. Shameful.

I can do you one better. You claim that because you spent so much frickin money in the aracde you deserve your own spot at the Contemporary:lol:. Well if any family deserves their own spot at the Contemporary it's my family. We have spent money on rooms, shops, restaurants & the aracde so unless you have stayed there you have no argument.

To note - anyone who thinks they're "cool" enough for a parking space at the Contemporary.. they have valet. Why are you self parking? Oh yeah, you just lost cool points.

Is that what you honestly think?

What a joke...

We've lied and gotten away with it before. We just said we made reservations for Chef Mickey's and they beliveved us.

Ditto, though at different resorts. We've used pools at Polynesian and AKL by saying we had reservations at their restaurants.

If this cushions the blow for those of you who are puritanical about following the rules: we always-- always-- patronize the shops and restaurants while we are there, including the Boma and O'Hana. So we're not completely free-loading...

After further thought on this thread.....

WHO CARES???

Why create moronic threads about how you found proof that you "can't" park here or there?

I think when you grow up (get older) you should be a public defense lawyer. I think you'd be good at it.

i've done it at the poly. "have reservations" and you're in.

For our California Grill reservations, we drove over in my Guest's car and the guard at the Parking Lot Booth checked for our names on a reservations list and asked for ID before letting us pass.

Maybe it depends on the guard??? :veryconfu

How do I know that, well their is a sign posted before you enter the Contemporary that says "We do not provide parking for the Magic Kingdom."

The difference is the people parking their cars at the Contemporary & going to the Magic Kingdom are breaking the rules because there is a sign that clearly states "We do not provide transporation to the Magic Kingom."

I'm with merf here.....:veryconfu

Which is it?

We park at Boardwalk and walk into Epcot or take the boat to MGM everytime we are there. As long as you valet or say you are valeting they don't care, even when it's busy. (we usually valet) You can also just park in the regular lot there on most days. We've went to chef mickeys and then walked over to MK for the rest of the day, and no one has ever said a thing.

why does it bother you more that I am using an a mug from the year 2000, while other people at the Contemporary are using mugs from other Walt Disney World Resorts Hotels?
...because all those people who use mugs from other resorts (better known as stealing by the way) are not starting threads criticizing the "crimes" of others!  :brick:

When I came back to this thread tonight, the first few posts I read really annoyed me and I was going to reply to some. Then after reading three pages of it, I started to realise the futility of arguing with the original poster.

Unfortunately there was one particularly stupid, and in my opinion offensive post that I just can't let go without a comment - the one about re-using mugs because other people do it. That is an appaling argument and you should be ashamed of yourself, justifying your wrong actions by noting that others do the same. Does the same justification apply to dealing drugs? Lots of other people do that, does that make it OK? I seem to remember reading about a group of people using your line of defence in Nuremberg.

No offense to the poster of this thread, but dont be so dumb. Even though if you say "im coming to eat" they will give you a parking pass for 4 hrs, a lot of times, they just wave u by. So i guess u are "right" but I have done it a bunch.

And let's not mention the "Great Yogurt Stealing Incident" he was so concerned about as well.

I saw the sign, and just drove by

I saw the sign at the Contemporary and told them that we were meeting friends in the hotel for drinks and that we were not sure of what we had planned after that, from there we walked in, rode the elevator up and boarded the Monorail. I've done it at the Poly, as well as Boardwalk. :drevil:

I'm guessing that wasn't a terribly big hill to climb in the first place.

OK, you obviously missed the humor. No, I dont think i actually deserve parking spaces. Two, the original post title is stupid for obvious reasons.

Three, you are probably right that it wasn't a big hill to climb :)
