Projections Along Main Street?

Just saw a video on Inside the Magic of Disneyland (Anaheim) testing out projections along Main Street for their new fireworks show to celebrate the 60th anniversary.

Do you think there's any chance they'll bring it to WDW? The scene they showed off was the lanterns scene from Tangled, which is in Celebrate the Magic currently. Imagine how much cooler it would be to have the projections not just on Cinderella Castle, but the whole of Main Street?

For one thing, it'll mean that people watching from half way down MS to Town Square will be able to see something. And it might possibly reduce the crowds towards the castle/hub given that there would be something visible from further back.

There again we didn't get many upgrades from Remember.

It may be cool, but from the artist rendering above I makes me think, "Please don't screw up Main St."

Of course, Main St. is dark at this time, anyway, so maybe it doesn't matter.

I thought the same thing with the projections on the castle until I saw the show and then I thought, "Ok - that's pretty cool."

That looks really awesome...as long as you don't look directly into the windows with the projectors.

I'm excited about this because I'll be there opening night. We have been planning a DL trip for that time even before this was announced. How nice that it debuts while we're there.

That does look a bit odd. Wonder if they will be able to hide it any better. I can't think of how since you need to put it right where people are looking.

It look s a bit of a mess to me. I think MK has enough castle frontage for projections, so I don't see it going in to the MK.
