Just curious as to who is registered for the Project XL taking place at WDW from Thursday, Sept 29 through Sunday, Oct 2. If yes, how many days will you be at WDW? I'm going for 7 nights!

Forgive me for being stupid, but what is Project XL. I'll be down there during this time period too.

Not stupid, if you're not familiar with WDWCelebrations.

Great group of Disney fans that run events at WDW [and occasionally at DL]. They charge a nominal fee to register and it's enough to cover their basic costs and the rest goes to charity. The do history walks and organize group games, scavenger hunts, meals and rides. You can participate as much or as little as you like and meet lots of fellow Disneyphiles.... :animwink:

Yep, had no clue about this. Sounds fun though, although it would be great to meet up with Martin.

Yep, there are a few folks that have said they're going that I've yet to meet. So I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Of course, I look forward to all the events I attend... :king:

There are tons of friendly folks that join us for these events, Martin included! I honestly don't think we've had attendees ever walk away without meeting someone new!

I'll be there.

Awesome! :D

And we always look forward to having you there! Is Morgan coming this time around too, or is school still keeping him busy?

Sadly, Morgan will be in school. Second last year of High School [what you would call a "Junior"], a bit too important. Of course, I did feel guilty during DL55, when he was working as a volunteer at a day camp. I didn't take him because he would be "working", but after landing at LAX I realized the camp certainly wouldn't have cared if he missed a week.

That, and he and I are there from the 27th this month until Labour Day... He's getting his "Disney fix" then. :king:

Since he's not coming with me, I extended my stay until Thanksgiving* so it would include some time to truly savour F&W and cover my birthday as well! :D

* The real Thanksgiving, not yours!

I didn't see this entry on their web page:

Saturday Oct. 1 10PM Group run Food & Wine Half-Marathon
:D

Correct! We've got a good few that always participate in that marathon and join us for the rest of the activities when they are done.

Speaking for myself, I know my knees couldn't handle an eighth-marathon, so a half-marathon would definitely do me in!

I, myself...will not be running.

Selected quote from Real Genius:

Professor Hathaway: "You still run?"
Chris Knight: "Only when chased."
