Progress: It's Not Gonna Happen

[I'm also surprised that they can find the space to build a park. Isn't Hong Kong overcrowded as it is? [/B][/QUOTE]

They're using some of the out-lying islands for the park. You'll love this... They had to do at least a years worth of enviro-clean up on the island before it was able to be built apon.....

Puts on serious head for a moment,

I cant believe this was not reported in the US, it was carried by all major news networks here.
They reported a large asteroid was on its way, I cant remember the timescale but around the 8 - 12 year mark sticks in my head, they gave all this blurb about doomsday etc and interviewed the astronomers involved in its discovery. They (skywatchers)finished the interview by saying there was no need to panic because the margin of error was so big.

But the down side is im sure if you check your insurance policys asteroids are in the exclusions, as is war, which is a bit of a bummer if your in the military. Id be right up poo kreek if I were hit by an asteroid on a battlefield.:hammer:

I thought they'd changed their mind and that it was gonna miss?

A former Gracelands resident said as he stood on the grassy knoll, that he and his co -worker Lord Lucan were convinced that the missing theory was a conspiracy to avoid causing panic. A mr J morrison from Artea 51 Nevada said it was all a hoax and that the rumour came from Florida and was spread by a former theme park magnet from the safety off a deep freeze.

You forgot to say that Lord Lucan was riding Shergar at the time! :animwink:

Being that this asteroid side-issue is starting to stray from the original "Progress" discussion, let me add this to attempt to save this thread:

So if this ateroid is indeed coming to wipe us out, should Disney add anything else to their parks or not? My opinion: Disney should blow their wads of $$$ and put in as much new stuff as they can muster (closer to E-ticket than Dumbo ride--not that there's anything wrong with Dumbo).
It's not like they're gonna need the $$ in 8+ years or so anyway.

As in, why not let us WDW and DL fans all go out with a bang? I know I sure as heck would love to go on the ultimate Disney vacation of my dreams right before I check out.

So who here concurs?
