Problems running the game?

OK, Now This Was A Bummer

I've also been getting the "This shockwave movie has errors..." message occasionally. It happens after playing for some time, never in the first few minutes. I'm pretty sure I have the latest version of Shockwave, but I'll have to check tomorrow.

This one in particular bummed me out, as I'm (potentially) about to clear my 4th board (I think):

Even if my score hadn't gone much higher, I would have at least liked to save the game and move up in the scoring table. Oh well.

Anyone else seeing this?

(I don't mean to whine  , I love the game!)

Love the game and the fact that you can NEVER tilt the table too much and lose the ball! (Otherwise, I doubt we'd see scores this high.)

My gripe: I needed to pause this game (say, to take a phone call). I hit Esc, and it pauses. Now how in the world do I resume the game? (Edit: No, hitting Esc doesn't work.)

(I'm now in the top 15! Maybe winning this thing isn't too far-fetched.)

Seems to freeze up with Safari. I'm on a brand new iMac G5 (running OSX Tiger) with essentially zero CPU activity prior to launching Safari (v. 2.0.4) and opening the game. Still, I'm getting the "system too slow" message after about a minute of playing (though, even with the game playing, the activity monitor shows loads of processing capacity available). Also have current version of Shockwave (v. 10.1.1.016 for Mac OSX). All of which makes me think it's Safari.

I don't run IE so unfortunately I didn't test it with IE to isolate Safari as the problem. Anyway, just figured I'd let you know.

I have the same problem as mattjs... I guess our macs are just not lucky :(

I have the same problems with Safari and Firefox as other people. Safari gives me the system running too slow message. I have a 1.83 GHz processor and 512 MB of memory. I'm currently running a live audio chat, but last night I watched a DVD and ran a live video chat at the same time, so I don't think it's the system running slow. Firefox won't even start Shockwave even when I try running in Rosetta.

Apparently the new Intel-based Macs (like mine) have a problem with Shockwave, so I don't know if there's anything that can really be done about this. If anybody has solved it, I'd love to know.

I had just the same issue as Spoodles had back in July. This morning, I was on the fourth board with Shula's & Todd English to hit for the 2nd time and the shockwave error popped up. Had it not happened and completed the board, I would have been placed at 5th. Oh well. Back to playing this addictive game one last day.

3 questions:
1-Anyone know what caused the shockwave to freeze up?
2-Am I the only one who probably developed carpal tunnel playing
this game?!?!?!
3-Will this game continue to be on this site after the trip's be awarded?
(Reset the scores and start from scratch?)

I've had the same questions. Though my carpal tunnel's better since I realized I could never approach the top scores before I would get the Shockwave error. :)
