There has to be something good about it, so here goes..


top 5 things I like about DCA (that aren't in other Disney parks at the moment):


5-Grizzly River Run
4-Soarin' Over California
3-Mulholland Madness
2-Disney's Electrical Parade (for the sheer reason that it's gone from WDW so I don't have to carry that blasted canopy anymore!)
1-California Screamin'


see, I could come up with 5 things I like about DCA... I challenge anyone else to do the same. And, please... no anti-DCA sentiments on this thread... i would like for 1 positive thread about DCA.. just 1

nope... nothing that even implies negativity. I want everyone who posts here to have a gallon of pixie-dust in their bloodstream before they even attempt to start.

Ok... I live a few blocks away from DLR so I'll try to pull this one off without any cynicism (wow, that could prove to be challenging to say the least)...

1) Soarin' Over California - by far one of the best attractions I have ever been on and the simple fact that I was getting the feeling of motion-sickness without really moving anywhere at all. It's that dang IMAX screen thing.

2) Disney Animation - by far one of the best lobbies for a building I have ever had the chance to experiance. All sorts of movies presented on the walls. The other stuff in there is ok... as long as you get there when there isn't a large crowd yet.

3) Golden Vine Winery - ok... not what it used to be but still a nice relaxing spot to stop by during the day... and the food isn't too bad either. And then there's the wine, but I think that was a giveaway right?

Ok... I could only make it to 3. California Screamin' is a nice coaster but not the best out there... Grizzly River Rappids is also ok, did that ride once and have no real desire to go on it again unless with others who have never been there before.
I'd mention some of the playmospheres but most of them have closed down with the exception of L&S and Monsters Inc...

Oh well... I'm running late for a meeting...

I'm going there next summer, it was under construction last time we were there, so I have no idea what to expect.... can somebody, anybody say something good about it, pretty please? give me something to look forward to (lol)... there's got to be more than 5 good things about it!!

I havent been there yet, but from the obvious, I can say what I like about it so far from what I've seen.

1. it has (and will have) some of the best of the Florida parks. Although they won't be original, they are still good rides/attractions. (Muppets, Millionare, Tough to be a Bug, animation, Electrical Parade, and comming soon: Tower of Terror)

2. it is a short walk (I think) away from Disneyland, a blessing upon the park hopper ticket.

3. I am going there soon! (ok, that doesnt make the park better than anything, but still )

Okay well I love DCA but am coping with a migraine so here is my attempt.

1. I love the atmosphere music. It's great.. But then again I LOVE beach music.

2. Soarin' (I loved it )

3. DEP (but of course I would love this)

4. Sourdough bread

5. The winery restrauant.. upstairs was sooooooo nice and excellent view of the parade.

6. Screamin' (first looping coaster other than RnR that I ever rode)

7. Blast (yeah I know it's leaving)

8. Animation section

9. quiet a break from DL and places to sit down and relax ...

10. ToT is being built

Okay see.. I came up with 10.. and if I can do this with a migraine.. think of what people who have a level head should be able to say about it.

I've yet to visit DCA, but I'm going to be at Disneyland in November and I'm rather anxious to see the park. I'm not expecting huge thrills from the park, and I doubt that it'll will miraculously leap into my top ten park list or anything like that, but there's enough potential charm there to keep me excited.
I must say that from the way people rave over the atmosphere loops, I am expecting something special in that department, but other than that, I'm just going to take it as it comes and look for the good stuff.

I really like (i'm having trouble thinking about it)
1. It's Tough to be a Bug! (I saw it at AK, too)
2. Soarin' Over California
3. California Screamin'
4. Grizzly River Run
5. Orange Stinger...
I stayed at the Grand Californian... It's pretty nice!
Gee, I guess I don't like the place as much as I used to...
I had trouble listing what I really like there! :lol:
