Prized Disney Pins

I got two. One isn't an official Disney pin but its the one I value the most and that's my official Save Disney Pin from the Shareholders Meeting with the incredible No Confidence vote against Michael Eisner. Cost me a pretty penny on Ebay but I had to have one.

And my other is my Limited Edition Mickey and the Seal pin.

My most prized pin was given to me WAY before the pin craze of the late 90s.
It was 1989 and I was 8 months old. My family was dining at one of the character dinners and the waiter noticed that I LOVED the characters. Most young kids are scared to death of them. I on the other hand was hugging and kissing them. The waiter came up to me and took a special pin off his lapel. This pin was only given to outstanding CMs and he said he could possibly get in trouble for giving it away, but he said that I embodied the Disney spirit. The pin is silver, shaped like a Mickey head and was ingraved with D.R.E.A.M. which stands for Disney Resort Experiences Are Magical. I will cherish it forever.

I have over 300 pins. Most of which are cast member pins an name tags.

Best for me are the sets. I love the eight mickey head pins, (winking Mickey now quite rare).

I have 6 of the gold pins of Cast members length of service. (1 - 25 years)

The list goes on and on....... Can't really say a favourite.

I buy the pins, as a personal souvenir. I'm not trading them for anything. But if I would have to pick one, it would be the Alien from Toy Story, since it was the first one I bought.

I'd have to say that the pins I'm definately keeping would be the Park/Year pins that I have. So far I have 2002 and 2004 Disneyland pins, which I'll definatley be keeping.

I have some other miscelaneous pins, like a Haunted Mansion, Steamboat Willie, and that type of thing.

In 14 days, I hope to start adding Disney World pins to my small collection :)
