Princess Fairytale Hall, new concept art

I would hope that Pocahontas would be included. I'm guessing since Mulan is up on that wall that Pocahontas would be included as well. I think it'd be pretty cool if each princess had a room themed where you could like take a portal to the different kingdoms and actually feel immersed in their story as opposed to a backdrop with three princesses in a line. And from there you could like take a trail through "the forest" and end up in China to see Mulan or the forest could evolve into a dessert path to Agrabah to meet Jasmine and so on and so forth. I feel like it would make waiting in line much more entertaining.

I was wondering, will the PFTH receive a front themed after the castle? According to the concept art it looks like the inside of a castle so it'd only be right to assume they drop the tournament facade for a majestic entrance with columns and a small balcony on top and a couple of banners on either side.

This is the concept art that has been previously released regarding how the entrance (front) of PFTH will look.

My whole thing is the waiting in line aspect. My girls will want to see all the princesses so do I have to schedule a day for this process??o_O

Hopefully it'll be setup like before with all of the Princesses in one room. It'll be a nightmare if you have to get in line for each princess!

I hope so too, but I am afraid that like Pete's Silly Sideshow it will be a line for each individual character. One of the things my family likes about EPCOT Character Spot, Tinkerbell's Nook, the current princess meet and greet in Town Square (and before in Towntown) is that you wait in one line, albiet it miy be a bit of a long line, but you get to see all the characters at once. I would rather wait in one 30-45 minute line to meet three characters, instead of 3 seperate 30 minute lines. Fingers crossed that we still get to meet a bunch of different princesses at once instead of going through over and over to meet them all.

I'm pretty sure that Pete's will be split up into 2 lines. One for Donald and Goofy, one for Daisy and Minnie. So, you would not have to stand in 4 lines, just 2. I agree that I would much prefer 1 line like Character Spot though.

As painful as that 45-60 minute wait is at character spot, it is incredibly convenient to be able to get them done all at once.

Hopefully, if it is split in two, the lines won't be more than 15-20 minutes each. It'll be nice for families with small children to be able to wait in a shorter line and still get to see two characters.

But wow, I can't imagine waiting in a 20 minute line to see two characters and then having to tell a 4-year old that they then have to hop back in line and wait for another 20 minutes to see the other two characters! Ouch.

Just wait until December, I'll be able to tell you all about it  . It's exactly what I'll be doing. "No honey, that was just the line for Minnie and Daisy, if you want to see Donald and Goofy, that is over here, and we have to wait again. Wouldn't you rather ride Barnstormer instead? Wait, why are you crying???"

I think Fairytale Hall is going to have separate rooms for different princesses with at least some being themed specifically to certain characters. So, I suspect that there will be different lines for different princesses.

I wonder if they might essentially have two groups of lines: one main line to get into Fairytale Hall and then smaller lines once inside for each princess. Once you are in and you see a princess you then go to a smaller line for the next one. And once a person leaves Fairytale Hall entirely, then they let in more people.

That doesn't sound too bad, especially if they devise some sort of waiting without the waiting (ala Dumbo) in one main area.

I believe you are correct. I went back to look at the recent Pete's Silly Sideshow Photos posted and is clear there are two different lines and waits. One is for Daisy and Minnie and the other is for Donald and Goofy.

In the old toon town we would have to tell the girls: princesses, fairies or classic?? Luckily we go to chef Mickeys so that helped with that. But I hated going all the way through and meeting with the fairies and then going all the way back and waiting for the princesses.

I also dislike not knowing who was going to be there. We would wait in line and would not know which fairies were going to be there until we got to the end. One time we waited the 45 minutes and then found Fawn had just taken a break. Luckily the CM told us when she would be back and let us go through the exit to meet her.

You make a good point (as do others) but what if you only wanted to meet one Princess? I actually prefer the seperate M&Gs because you can pick and choose who you want to see and the lines are generally shorter (I know there are exceptions to this). It would be nice if there were a line to get into the building and then once inside there were smaller lines to meet the individual princesses. That way if you only wanted to see one or two you could skip the ones you didn't want to see and it would free up space for others.

The concept is too self-conscious, too self-referential.

I want to be part of a princess' world. I do not want the princesses to come to my world.Which is what this concept doea - the princesses are lifted from their worlds and presented into the human world in some sort of beauty pageantry / zoo like setting.

We had that in the original FL plans... but everybody ed and moaned about that one! And apparently it would have been a capacity nightmare (who knows). We now have a mine train instead - and don't get me wrong I'm thrilled about the new ride in FL (much needed IMO). But what can Disney do!?! They can't give each Princess her own space/area/land... well, not without taking up the whole MK to do so!

I agree. Call me a sicko, but when I see this, it looks like some kind of bordello-style setup, where the "customer" comes in, picks out which girl he wants from the pictures on display, and slips off to her alcove for a personal meet and greet. While I had hoped for some sort of grand throne room that would make guests feel like they're visiting at court, or the idea of a reception hall for some special occasion to which you've been invited, the concept art suggests nothing more than a transparent "fancy room in which to meet," with no higher or more interesting purpose suggested. There's no story to be a part of -- you're just going to the room where the princesses are. Perhaps there's is more to it, though, that we haven't seen. Could this just be a "foyer" of some kind?

I don't see how this is much different from what we have now!?! The current setup is pretty sad now in my opinion. Three princesses all in row with a fancy curtain behind them. I could probably rig up something better than that and I don't have an ounce of interior design skill. At least this will be themed nicely (at least it looks that way in the concept art) and they certainly "fit" better in FL than on Main Street!
