Cool, I can't wait to see what they come up with! I was just thinking to myself the other day that Disney needs an African-American princess story! Although I'm a little unsure about the voodoo concept that is supposed to be incorporated. I'm not a big fan, and don't like my kids watching that sort of thing so...we'll see!

I love her speaking voice. Perfect for the first African-American princess. The lightening bug's voice sounded very familiar...does anyone know who it is?

My daughter (5 years old) thought it looked cute. She's not sure about waiting so long to see it. I think it looks adorable. My DH not sure about how they will do swinging a princess movie into such a modern/more recent then any other princess setting. I think the emphasis on New Orleans is great. I love the French Quarter (traveled there a year before Katrina for the French Quarter Festival). I can't wait for New Orleans to be shown for the beautiful archictecture and rich cultural history it still gloriously has to share.

Finally! I'm so glad to see this come out! How awesome to put NoLA back on the entertainment map! To the poster who was concerned about their kids seeing voodoo... This cajun-Caribbean light voodoo is part of new Orleans culture, its not about religon as much as heritage. You can't step into the French Quarter without something voodoo!
