I believe the two movies rumor was invented by fanboys. At one point didn’t they announce like 3 sequels or something ridiculous like that? It’s the James Cameron model.

Iiiis it OK if I make a thread about the Zootopia rumor? The directors were the ones who seemed to want a sequel, but that seems as far as it got. They got sidetrack by pet projects like Frozen II and Encanto... you may have heard of them.
This certainly isn't the first time we've talked about it.Iiiis it OK if I make a thread about the Zootopia rumor?

When will we see Zootopia 2?
By this point, Zootopia 2 is more of a when than if, but the question is: When will we see it happen? The first movie as we all know, was a box-office success and received overwhelmingly positive acclaim. Plus, with all the sequels Disney is coming out with, that almost gurantees a sequel...forums.wdwmagic.com
Scary piece of trivia: Marvel is already knee deep in planning the next 10 years of movies and tv shows. This is a very good point. Admittedly I am one that goes OHHHH new Marvel ride or OHHHH new attraction with the new thing. But what are the favorites? Pirates, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Small World, Space Mountain. While Marvel has staying power, will it 10-15 years from now? If not what happens? Why you gotta make me think?
Marvel is not going anywhere. People forget Star Wars has been around and quite prevalent in pop culture for nearly 50 years. It’s safe to say that Marvel will stay the same, especially considering the largest media company in the world owns both franchises. This is a very good point. The MCU does run the risk of fatigue though. 3 movies a year was sustainable but add in Disney+ series alongside it and the only possible recourse is fatigue. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it or that I'm against the content, but ultimately that ship will sale.Marvel is not going anywhere. Pixar was box office gold for a long stretch at one point as well.
I tho=ink the reason for its staying power is, although it's basis is superheroes, the tone of the individual films are quite different. War movie, buddy film, heist film, comedy, family drama, and now horror. The MCU does run the risk of fatigue though. 3 movies a year was sustainable but add in Disney+ series alongside it and the only possible recourse is fatigue. Unlike Moana which keeps showing up on Neilsen's top ten streaming movies every week (even tho D+ has half the subs as Netflix!), there is no public data on Zooptopia's (the movie) afterlife... except for what Disney is doing with it.
Are we comparing the popularity of Zootopia to that of the movie that was so massive it convinced theaters across America to invest in 3D-capable digital projectors?Pandora opened 8 years after Avatar was released...
I wouldn't disagree with you... but I don't believe Animal Kingdom has that luxury of just leaving spaces open for "future development", it's not like there is an overabundance of rides at the park. They sold it for scrap while prices are high and will build when prices lower? Seems like a solid plan to me. An empty expansion pad is a nice problem to have.
