For a few months, sure. Then it’s going to fail harder than the galactic failcruiser. You think people who (usually incorrectly) try to save money by purchasing DVC are the target audience for a $26 per slice piece of cake?

Do they still line up for Gideon's? Don't underestimate people's willingness to overpay when on vacation

Gideon’s doesn’t charge $26 per cookie. There’s a big difference between $104 for four slices of cake for a family of four and $24 for four cookies.

I think that's why it took so long to open. Disney was hoping inflation would get closer to the prices.

I see an $80 difference in price, but the same level of taste bud satisfaction. Heck, Gideon’s cake slices are better than their cookies anyway.

Annual passes went up October 2023. Not sure about regular tickets, as I don't buy those.

And annual passes affect how many guests? They can and have raised AP prices at random times of the year. I would not expect regular ticket prices to increase before February for the reasons I laid out.

Having recently consumed both one of their cookies and two slices of their cakes, this is accurate. IMHO.

While true for many, waiting in line to purchase a $6 cookies is still not the same thing as waiting in line to pay $26 for a cookie.

Restaurants all throughout property are having trouble finding customers.

And that proximity to DVC resorts didn’t save much more modestly priced dining options there.

The same can be said for pretty much everything WDW related..resorts, perks, tickets, customer service, food, etc.

FYI, given the recent announcement of the opening date for epic universe and their tickets sales I would not be surprised to see if Universal move forward with increasing ticket prices.

I haven't noticed any news about new price increases. Does this mean Disney isn't increasing prices, they just figured out a way to charge new prices?
