Price hike coming 10/9

From what I've heard, they're actually planning to LOWER the price of FL resident APs when they do this and in part, make up the difference with the other price hikes. 😳

Bolding that last part for emphasis. Disney wants their parks busy with hour long lines for everything.

The money is in people's misery and their willingness to get out of it.

Now I don’t know whether to hurry up and get new FL Pixie APs before the price hike or wait for the price decrease (?!)

Either way, you can still buy them and then not activate them for a few months, right? Our next trip should be around 12/16.

Just to remove any ambiguity and avoid any confusion that might result in you making a bad purchasing decision, I want to be clear that I was just trolling him since he says the same thing about FL residents.

No, no, what you posted is true - They're going to lower the price on all Annual Passes. Could be as much as a 50% price cut in order to boost and bolster the AP ranks in Orlando. And as a further enticement, if you promise to bring your own food in, sit at tables for hours eating your own food, and take up "premium viewing spots" for parades and shows 3-4 hours ahead of time, you'll also get free LL's for your next visit. 😁

At the same time, on 10/9 Publix is running a sale on peanut butter. It’s win win win for the local AP crowd!

Along those lines - A little fairy recently told me Disney and Publix are going to unveil a special partnership promotion soon - In 2025, Annual Passholders will be eligible for 50% off bread, lunch meats, peanut butter, jelly, and bottled water at all local Publix locations, with a special AP-branded cooler tote available as well for a very low price. If this special promo is well-received, expect similar deals in the future. #WinningAsAnAPHolder

I like Publix but the regular promotion buy one get one free sometimes is too good to be true. The expiration dates on the cans and containers is a week or two left while the sale is on.

WDW may unfortunately be a little too busy with other things to announce a price hike on 10/9
Plywood, generators, non perishable foods to feed the stranded guests , the few cast on the clock 24 hours a day , etc etc during the upcoming Milton seems to be more important than a price increase.

Can’t charge more if it’s closed!

I wonder how far out they will push it. I would think it would be a bad PR move to jack up the rates right after the local customers just got hit by a (potentially major) storm.

Disney has also confirmed that they are getting rid of the Rivers of America, and replacing it tomorrow with the Oceans of America.

Oh contraire! All things Disney flow from the fountainhead in Glendale, CA 2500 miles away. Just a minor annoyance when the WDW serfs have difficulty with things like power, water andfood. They just get miffed.
