You know what's funny?
I mean, they probably should've tempered expectations then. They clearly have boots on the ground online - they should've seen expectations rising.
Announcing it a couple days before the panel does just that.

They didn’t announce anything. They just put it on their schedule as a secret project. Disney social media didn’t hype this up either. The hype came from others outside of Disney hyping it up.
The book is entirely in line with what I was told to expect - nothing major, and focused more on employees.

Totally miss having that option in the parks.I really expected it to be the return of McDonald's fries.

Especially since they’ll be selling it. Where are the profits going?considering most Disney workers are overworked and underpayed, some even living in poverty, I don't know if they really want to do this.
If it was major why wouldn’t you put it on the main stage and not announce it until the panel happens? Announcing it before hand isn’t hyping it up to me nor does that make it seem extra major. Like you said Disney isn’t stupid. They got people to talk about it but we all should know by now that you shouldn’t expect huge stuff most of the time. That IS hyping it up. You put the words "secret project" and also say that you're going to announce it a couple of days in advance of the panel, people are going to assume it's something major. Disney isn't stupid; they knew how people would react to that.
To each their own. I tempered my expectations. Many of you should’ve too.Honestly, what do you expect when something is put on a schedule as secret project? It was a dumb move by Disney.
No, that literally does the opposite. You don't announce a panel called "Secret Project" days before your massive conference, where big announcements are expected.
I mean, even with people saying lower expectations, this is way below anything I imagined
I completely agree. I should have known better. To each their own. I tempered my expectations. Many of you should’ve too.
