Hello All.

I will be attending WDW with my family in may (the 1st-8th). We are staying at Animal Kingdom Jambo House.

We have set our reservations....Can I get some advise on the reservations we should keep and those we need to get rid of.

FYI..The Family is my wife(40), Mother (63) and Son (5)

Night 1 - Dinner at Boma (Landing at 4pm)
Day 2 - Breakfast Boma, Rest of Day open
Day 3 Chef Mickeys, Tony's Town Square, Open
Day 4 Crystal Palace, Lunch Open, Dinner Ohanna's
Day 5 Tusker House, Biegarten, Whispering Canyon
Day 6 Boma, Hollywood and Vine, Portabellos
Day 7 Boma, T-Rex Cafe, Open
Day 8 Quick service Breakfast at hotel

Please advise....Its been about 10 years since i been to WDW and this will be my son's 1st visit

Looking at your itinerary I wonder why so many sit down breakfasts and why so many at Boma? My family and I also enjoy a nice sit down breakfast while on vacation just not every day. We usually just do a "grab and go" most mornings. Not to be confused with a "smash and grab," but I digress. The Main Street bakery in the Magic Kingdom is great for a quick breakfast.
Everyone is different but won't a sitdown breakfast cut into you touring time and/or viewing a park opening? Seeing the Magic Kingdom opening and going to Disney Hollywood Studios for the park opening during Star Wars weekend are somethings your son may really enjoy. I’m not sure but I believe that star wars weekend will be going on while you are there.
Can anyone confirm? Whatever you do enjoy!

Agree with the above. We grab some fruit, have a quick cereal bite and go. We will save our sit downs for dinner so we can relax after a long day and refuel for the evening. Are you on the dining plan? If so, you have too many sit downs.
While I have never eaten at Boma's for breakfast, I have eaten there for dinner and didn't really care for it too much. I understsand it is convienient since you are staying at AKL but there are so many other places to try. Chef Mickey's is wonderful and so is Crystal Palace and O'Hana's. Kona is great for dinner, too. Le Celier is a fav of ours, too. I also noticed you have one meal in Epcot. Le Celier is a fav of ours, too and we can't wait to try Via Napoli's when we go in August,

Oh we just returned from out vacation at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! You are going to love it... Here are my 2 cents on the ressies I would get rid of.

Boma for dinner, unless you are all adventurous eaters I would advoid the dinner... The breakfast at Boma on the other hand is my favorite!

Tony's Toon Town get rid of... Not the best food in Disney by any means

I love Boma for dinner, but I don't think I would eat there that often. Switch one of your 'Bomas' for Sanaa. It is still at the AKL and it is amazing food.
I think you have too many sit down meals unless you have the deluxe dining plan. If you have that, add some signature places in there.
You only have 6 full days at the park. Don't waste it all eating at sit down places.
Grab something quick for breakfast in the morning.
Eat only one meal a day at a sit down place. Use the counter service places for the other meals.

We made the mistake of eating at a buffet/big breakfast every day of our trip in '09. It's just too much food to start out on every single day, especially if you plan on eating lunch at another restaurant. This year we are eating in restaurants a couple of days and the rest we are using a snack option for breakfast. Plus, it does cut in on your touring time. I want to get started earlier than we did last time. :)

I would second the getting rid of Tony's and consider Liberty Tree Tavern instead. While at the AKL why not consider Jiko?
