Exactly! They aren’t doing all of this road work for nothing. They are expecting more traffic back there in the future.

To clarify, ths is to move Floridian Way. It will no longer be between the Grand Floridian and a stretch of land to the west suitable for development.

There’s just zero evidence/indication they need more hotel space.

Is there any reason that area couldn’t be used for park expansion? If the Moana ride is going near there, there’s just the canal in the way, right? I’d definitely prefer more MK over a hotel.

Well, one concept that I feel people have theorized is both expansion of MK to the west and a hotel - that could perhaps get to a situation where the hotel could be "on" the SSL and monorail but also get a direct entrance to the park in the new expanded area.

I don't necessarily think that's the plan but it seems conceivable.

Me personally, there is a chance that another hotel will be added. Where it will be and the theme, I have no clue.
