POTC-New Disney Waterpark

A couple of years back I heard of an idea for a Pirates Of The Caribbean themed waterpark on some website. It was a really clever idea so I decided to think of my own. The park would be called
Pirates Of The Caribbean: Water Land
and would feature several attractions and restaurants themed to the series and ride. The lands would be Tortuga, Shipwreck City, The Forbidden Land, Davy Jones Ship, The High Seas, Pirate Cove, and Little Pirate Land.

Entrance: The entrance are would feature a gift shop, guest services/relations office, ticket booth, lockers, shower and bathroom, and an ice cream vendor. Several palm trees would adorn the entrance plaza and special victorian lights would light up the area at night.

Tortuga: Tortuga would serve as the park's main terminal and lead to a few of the lands. The area would feature several gift and restaurant shops to pick from. The buildings would be styled to look just like Tortuga from the film. There would also be a petting zoo type area for kids to enjoy.

Shipwreck city: A group of large destroyed vessels would be the theme for this area. The main attraction here would be a lazy river that leads to another land. Lanterns would provide the lighting for this area and one ship would allow you to walk through it.

The Forbidden Land: The main area of the park as well as the center, The Forbidden Land provides high thrills and chills courtesy of it's main attraction(s). The theming around the land would several sharp looking rocks jutting out of the ground. The Middle would be a gigantic, 120 ft. tall, 140 ft. wide skull which would house the main attraction. Circling the skull and partially, the land, would be the ever flowing lazy river.
Attractions-
Forbidden Rapids: Forbidden Rapids are a high speed rush through the skull, lasting 3-4 minutes in length. The queue would begin as you pass over a wooden bridge and begin your climb through the inside of the skull. For a water attraction, the queue would be themed very well. The inside would be lit only with lanterns, rendering the path upwards almost pitch black. Similar to the attraction the queue would look out over small show areas where animatronic animals would reside. Similar to the attraction as well waiting guests can have a sneak preview of a portion of the ride as they pass through. The loading area would be very dark as well. To start off, the two-person raft you are in would dip downwards and spill at high speeds down a brief 20 ft. drop and enter some fast paced curves and dips before spilling out into the lagoon.
Ht. requirement-48 in.

Rocky Slopes: On one side of the skull would be a large rocky area jutting out that provides small thrills for those too young to ride Forbidden Rapids. After a small walk up a narrow path there are 5 outdoor slides for anybody to choose from.
Ht. requirement-36 in. or accompanied by an adult

This is only the first part of the plan. More to come soon!

That's actually pretty cool, but I have to wonder why the current water parks are not based on movies or ride franchises -- I would assume that it is because they don't know if interest will wein once people forget about the movies.

That's possible but I think Disney is alot more corporate than we think.

(p.s. I will post the second part soon.)

Here it is.

Davy Jones's Ship: Not far from The Forbidden Land is Davy Jones's Ship, an area themed mostly to Davy Jones. The center of the land would a walk-through, full scale model of the Flying Dutchman. This land would be the second smallest area in the park although it would feature two attractions as well as a small portion of the lazy river running through. The land's theming would feature several large tentacle passing around. They would dip underneath the ground to give a sense like you are standing on top of water and will likely disorientate the guest.
Attractions-
Kraken: The Kraken would be a large water coaster/slide similar to Crush'N'Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon. The queue would take you past several shipwrecks blossoming with barnacles and other forms of crustaceans. Most of the queue theming would be hidden from the guests and can only be seen from the waiting line. The "vehicles" are made to look like bobsleds/rafts and can reach speeds of up to 40 mph! There are two lines to choose from as they both have different layouts. The "track" you are on looks just like one of the Kraken's tentacles. The ride actually will pass above the park guests in some areas and will end not too far from the loading area.
Ht. requirement-48 in.

Davy Jone's Locker: The second ride in Davy Jones's Ship is Davy Jone's Locker. After laying down flat guest are pushed through a special path. The ground is textured to feel like you are being carried by Stone Crabs. The queue is made to look like a barren beach with a few animatronic inhabitants.
Ht. requirement-40 in.

The High Seas: Out of all the lands at Pirates Of The Caribbean: Water Land, The High Seas is the place with the biggest and best attractions. It contains several thrills and spills. The land will be themed to a large shiping dock and will set the stage for the wildest experience guests can expect.
Attractions-
At Water's End: At Water's End is very unique and scary at the same time. The theming is made to look like you are climbing up a waterfall and then, after moving peacefully through a small canal, you

50 ft. down!
Ht. requirement-52 in.

Maelstrom: The second ride in High Seas is the Maelstrom. This unique attraction allows guests to board their own individual boat which in turn gets pulled into a large pool that is shaped like a funnel. The water is blasted into a circular motion which sends the ships into a spinning motion around the pool.
Ht. requirement-40 in.

Cursed Rapids- Cursed Rapids are group of slides that take guests through 200 feet of track while moving at fast speeds. Guests can manipulate their own body inertia to send them into different speeds. There are seven slides to choose from!
Ht. requirement-40 in.

Up Is Down- Located in the far right corner is Up Is Down, a disorienting slide that thrusts guests on a high seas adventure!
Ht. requirement-44 in.

Final part coming next!

Here it is! The final part of my plan!

Pirate Cove: Pirate cove would be the smallest area in the park and with good reason. The area would be themed to look very tropical with several plants and tiny waterfalls. Pirate cove would serve as a rest/relaxation area with a couple of shops to choose from. On the vicinity of the land would be tons of beach chairs for guests to lay down at. Also located is a small spring where guests could lay down and rest in.

Little Pirate's Land: The final land on the list is one made just for little kids. There would be a tiny pool that the kid's could enjoy themselves in. There would also be many other exciting things for kids who love pirates. A small space of land would be reserved for birthday parties.
Attractions-
The Black Pearl: Similar to other fun ships of it's kind, The Black Pearl would be a ship made for exploring. There are three levels to explore. The first, the brig, would feature lots of netting that kids could climb over. It's layout would be like a playground. The second, the mid-level, would feature small water cannons which kids could fire on the adjacent pool. The final, the ________ deck, would feature several fun things that kids could do.
Ht. requirement-accompanied by an adult unless 36 in.

The Salty Slide: Aside from the bad pun name, the salty slide would be small enough for any young pirate to enjoy.
Ht. requirement-under 36 in. accompanied by an adult

Pirate Pool: Small Pool for all ages.
Ht. requirement-under 36 in. accompanied by adult

Water blasters: Area where water spouts up from floor and hidden cannons located in foliage

That's my whole idea. Please comment and share your thoughts.

It DOES sound cool!! It's just a little lacking in rides & slides, though. There's a lot of other parts of PotC to pull from, and a lot of other ride ideas. The ones you have, though, are really well thought out and very cool! Also, would there be meet-n-greets? I have no idea how that'd work, but everybody loves Jack... then again, Jack being Jack with mischievous guests in swimsuits may not be the best idea...

Thanks.:)
I started out a little small mainly because Disney usually adds on as the years pass to keep guests coming in. There is alot of room for expansion when you think about it. As for meet-n-greets, Little Pirate's Land could be able to have one or two meet-n-greets. Did I mention the cm's will dress like pirates!:D
