potatoes

we've got favorite movies, music, tv shows, actors and actresses, so here's another one: what is your favorite potatoes?

mine are:

idaho russett
irish cobbler
king edward vii
mr. potatohead
spuds mckenzie

i mean, what ARE your favorite potatoes (unless you have just one, in which case, what is your favorite potato). god, i feel like dan qualye. :hammer:

I'd have to say Mr. Potatohead #1

then, in no particular order:

Yukon Gold (butter flavored)
Idaho Russet
Mashed
Baked

I especially like the Yukon Gold mashed, because then you don't have to add extra butter. Yummy!!

that is so uncanny that you were hoping someone would start a potato thread.

i felt there was some sort of mass yearning -- of should i say, yamming -- for a potato thread.

Aw, that's so sweet of you to say that dopey....I'd say your choices are just as good. In fact, I had almost forgotten about Mr. Potatohead. I just hope Mrs. Potatohead isn't offended that I didn't choose her.

I guess I just never thought someone would feel the same way about potatoes that I would....it's almost like you were reading my mind!

y'know, i was always suspicious of mrs. potatohead. she looks like a crossdresser.

but yeah, if you're into potatoes, i'm your guy. it's sad, really. i've been a potato fan ever since i was a youth and got a spud gun for christmas.

people kept warning me not to shoot my eyes out. har har.

Come to think of it, she could actually be Mr. Potatohead in disguise....maybe he had some urges that the general public just wasn't aware of. But, I don't think any differently about him because of it.

I've always loved potatoes though. It's nice to finally be able to have a normal conversation about them with someone that understands.

Do you still have that spud gun? You know how mom always said she'd know what you were doing because she had eyes in the back of her head? What do potatoes say to their little spuds?

oh no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with crossdressing potatoes. it was just an observation.

i actually carry my spud gun around with me. you never know when you'll get the urge for julienne fries or something.

That is so true...we thought it would be much more fun to have others join in the deep conversation about potatoes.

I did know that about oprah. But did you know that some people are ashamed to admit they like oprah?? THAT makes me sad....

BTW, I don't really know what potatoes say to their little spuds...I thought you would know. In my research of potatoes and how they bring up their young, I never encountered that and I have always wondered about it....

Stedman isn't ashamed to admit he doesn't like Oprah...doesn't he admit it willingly? I'm talking about the closet Oprah fans...those people that really love her, but try and make others think they hate her...you know those people.
