Even my daughter thinks I'm weird looking. Look at her face.

Oh, I have lost WAY too much in Atlantic City. I think they are going to name a street after me sometime soon  Naturally, I have several trips planned there for the summer but I SWEAR Im leaving the casino this time and going into Wildwood to hang out with my old shore friends and to Cape May for my annual Victorian fix

You can leave the casinos!? I had no idea.
There have been times when I walk in & start playing & don't come out till I'm out of money. To tell the truth, I don't think I've ever come out ahead.

I pulled 4 Deuces on a quarter poker machine at Ballys Wild Wild West on January 1, 2000 and won $1000! I bought a Sorcerer statue :lookaroun But, since that, nada. I stopped going to Ballys, hoping my luck would change (and so that I wouldnt get bounced over to the Claridge hotel..blech) and go to the Borgata now. About the only lucky thing thats happened to me there is that they have a Starbucks and I can use my comp dollars to buy whole bean coffee

Mad, next time, leave the casino and drive over into Margate...the real Lucy the Elephant is there (exactly like the replica on the mantle in the lobby of the Boardwalk :D )

Hey, I'm a South Jersey resident as well, actually more from the Jersey Shore....actually an island off of the coast to be precise. And a lot of our "grand hotels and yacht clubs" can be seen in some forms influenced within the Boardwalk Resort. Especially some of the early pictures of the coast.

Nice pics too, to stay on topic.

Oh, definitely! I was looking at some of the old photos they have in the lounge at the Boardwalk, and Im pretty sure I saw the old Dennis Hotel in Atlantic City which is now part of Ballys. I think Disney did a fabulous job in capturing the essence of those grand old hotels that once lined the shore when they did the Boardwalk.

YouDoNoJack, I have a photo of the replica of Lucy at the Boardwalk. I will see if I can find it and scan it in for you :) Its right in the lobby area. When we walked in, my entire family yelled "LUCY!!!" when we saw it

If you go to the Disney Vacation Club website and take a virtual tour of the Boardwalk, you can see it in the lobby picture if you scroll to the left. You can't miss the big pink thing!
