I've reported a few posts before and action was taken. But I use it very selectively, not for "I went looking for a fight and I found one so please take my side."

The world is changing, the full realization of social media is changing...there seems to be just more black or white thinking and little gray area. But more importantly Disney is changing. There is more to be concerned about with the state of the parks than ever.

Although if you can go back to the good old days(aka 5 years ago) we had some really heated discussions with Corrus, Merf, Skipper and JT in his prime.

Thank god for a bit of light hearted humour!

I've not been on here hardly since my Sept WDW trip and was amazed at the recent problems! I had no idea so many members had issues with lots of other members!

I'll take no sides .... But I'm not a fan of the Red Sox!!!

I think they have. As you said though, we've both been here a while. In my 12 years (!) the last year or less has been uglier. There's a definite divide of opinion that's more than a differing. 6 years ago everyone sang the praises more or less, now not so much or not so frequently. I won't point any fingers why nor make any assumptions but the seems to be a new row breaking out somewhere almost daily. Yes, there's an influx of the younger generation. Yes, us old(er) codgers can be stubborn and preachy. I try to balance any note of worth with facts to back it up and not opinion. I can be and am opinionated but hopefully they come across as based in fact and not just because I think so, something that others have certainly caused a few sparks to fly because of. That, and the increasing use of social media by all types of people, in all jobs. Its no longer just die hard fans. Its people who aren't used to being in a similar but different circle of friends. They mostly don't seem to be able to handle facts. That's facts when presented as such, and not opinion.

And of course there's the odd troll and plant now. More than previously.

There has been a lot to gripe about over that last year which might have something to do with it. WDW has largely been working on infrastructure and maximizing their revenue streams while the parks down the road and on the other coast have been adding pretty stellar attractions. Things should begin to settle once we see attractions getting built in WDW again.

Either way, I am pretty sure that you and I will still be here.

We live in a culture where absolutes are shunned. Everything is fuzzy and if you have a position that is substantiated by a fact, you are either a bully, intolerant, or just plane stupid to the party of the other part.

honestly I haven't seen any of what you're talking about. But there is also a ton of rehashing going on lately that I don't even bother reading. I see people going down the same old paths and I just scroll right by without reading it. No need to spend energy on the SOS...
