Some races 6 miles or over in the first half of the year.

3/13/11 - 36th Annual Newak Distance Classic (5k 20k) - Newark NJ
3/20/11 - Run From Winter 10k - Bridgewater NJ
3/26/11 - The Rat Race (10 and 20 k) - Waretown NJ
3/27/11 - Ocean Drive Marathon (and 5k and 10mi) - Cape May NJ
4/3/11 - Indian Trails Road Race (3 m, 15 k) - Middletown NJ
4/10/11 - Cherry Blossom Run (10 k) - Newark NJ
4/30/11 - Clinton County Run (15 k & 5 k) - Lebanon NJ
5/7/11 - The Newport 10,000 (10 k) - Jersey City NJ
5/15/11 - Super-Hero Half Marathon - Morristown NJ

And while not a longer run.

The 25th Anniversary Lincoln Tunnel Challenge is on 4/17/2011

Come on, how many people get to run from NJ, through the Lincoln Tunnel to Manhattan, turn around, and run back. I can't wait to see the GPS track on that one :)

Anyone near Nashville doing the RnR series up there April 30th? I signed up on Dec 31st to save money on the price hike. I hope for Corral A since last year, 35K participated. I cant recall if I had to provide a proof of time. I think they just asked my estimated finish time.

Luckily, they have a wave start.

Thanks for the list. I know Rutgers University (that one is right in my backyard) has a 1/2 marathon in April as well. I guess I'm just spoiled, I've only run 1/2 marathons and the full in Disney. I want characters, music, FUN when I run!

I do like the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge. I may have to look into that one. Although can you image the lingering fumes? Do we get to wear a gas mask through the tunnel?

According to them, they close the tube at night, degrease the roadway, and then purge it all night and during the race. The entire volume of air in the tunnel get exchanged every 90 seconds.

I have seen that Rutgers University run and am debating it. But it is not USATF certified (yet). Let's me run through my old alma mater :)

we are definitely doing Azalea Trail Run! That's the most popular one here. Hubby and I will look for you.

Just looked into participating in a Tough Mudder competition in April.
If I can finish a marathon I can be a Tough Mudder!
