Post if you love Stitch

I'm a huge fan, always have been...of the little blue guy, not so much the attraction. Stitch was just a "space filler" as we all know Disney doesn't waste space.
As for Stitch, a great concept for Disney. He's made a ton of money and his storyline is great for kids. Nothing is more important than family, nothing.

I LOVE STITCH!!!!

I have a ton of Stitch merchandise. I've got about 12 plush dolls including the Giant Stitch. Like 15 different shirts, 3 hats and god only knows how many pins. I collected alot of Stitch stuff during my college program where I got my nickname "Stitch" (which explains my screen name) and luckily my nickname managed to travel with me back home.

I don't know how to explain why I love Stitch so much. I just remember when I saw the commercials I knew I had to see the movie and after I saw the movie the first time I was hooked. I saw it like 15 more times in the theater (it helps to work at a movie theater), and was at Walmart at 12:00 midnight to buy it on DVD.

It makes me really sad that Chris Sanders has left Disney. He quickly became my favorite director and I was really looking forward to American Dog but have lost almost all interest now that he's gone. I will however continue to follow his work at Dreamworks because I think he is incredibly talented.

Anyways, Mahalo for creating this awesome thread. Nice to know that there are still Stitch fans on the forums. Aloha Cousins!

P.S.- I love SGE! But I wish we could have Stitch Encounter http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/parks/listing?name=TomorrowlandAttractionListingPage

I'm 17 & I love Stitch, but Tinkerbell will always be my asolute favorite character. I work at a Girl Scout camp during the summer & everyone gets to pick a camp name. I decided that mine should be Stitch. I can even do a Stitch voice of when he says, "Ohana means family & family means no one gets left behind." I have a stuffed Stitch on my bed. I've yet to get a Stitch shirt, though, becausre the Disney Store seems to think only little kids like Stitch, so there aren't any adult Stitch shirts.

Yay for Stitch fans! Thank you all for posting!!! :sohappy:

Oddly enough, I have never done SGE, mainly because I remember how terrified everyone was of AE. And from what I understand, the harness system is still the same, and I know myself well enough to know that a pitch black room combined with serious restraints would send me out of my mind, I've shied away from it. The bad rap it gets doesn' bother me, I'm just too chicken. As a person who has plowed over small children and thrown my own flesh and blood under the bus to get at Stitch, I really am trying to get up the nerve to do this attraction!

Thanks again! Or should I say...Mahalo!

Stitch fit in my suitcase.

Hello,

When I visited WDW in November 2005, I noticed the giant stitch that was available. I also noticed the Figment puppet. I don't know why, but I didn't buy either.

When I returned from my trip, I had been hooked. I've always visited WDW, but this trip was special. Not only was I experiencing the parks again for the first time through the experiences with my girlfriend (she'd never been there), but this board had a lot to do with it. Learning more about the deep history, technology, concept, and attention to detail did it.

I had to book another trip, and we went once again in Feb 2006. This time, I really had to have the giant stitch. I had watched the movie several times since the last trip, and just wanted that thing.

I can't believe it, but I actually took all of my clothes and rolled them up like you would do to save space while camping. Rolling them tight actually cut the space in half that was necessary to store them in their non-wrinkled form. Ah yea, Stitch sat nicely in the suitcase with his ears folded over his face. Figgy went with as a carry-on sticking out of my laptop bag. I still can't believe I got both of these two things home. They sit in my bedroom, and remind me of WDW on a daily basis.

I actually had to be dragged to go see the movie as I thought it would be horrible. When I saw the movie though I liked it. I like to do stitch impressions at random times to really express what you're feeling. The ride is ok, but I didn't really care for AE. And for the chili dog smell, I liked it. It's funny. I don't want stitch to take over the company by any means but I think he's a good addition that gives some comedic contrast.

I am 33 years old and I LOVE STICH. I found the ride cute and thought that it was a great homage to who the chaircter is. I like that his is cute, crazy, and always trying to do what is right. i think it is the only charicter that has had great sequel direct to dvd. i also think that the T.V show was cute. i dont see all the issues with him. maybe that disney pasted him all over the place but they have done it with others also.

I too love Stitch as if my MySpace Page doesn't make it obvious:

I was a little disappointed in the attraction at first but overall it is ok I guess. I have often wondered though how cool would a Lilo and Stitch dark ride be. You know Something like Peter Pan's Flight or Winnie The Pooh only with Lilo and Stitch in Hawaii. Could you imagine a Gantu animatronic? Or better yet a Hamsterviel or Jumba. Now that would be cool.

Mahalo..and have a magical day

Stitch is fine. The movie was good. Thr attraction was forced into the park for the wrong reasons with a flawed concept and was the start of the `94 Tomorrowlands downward spiral.

I do love the film and the ride. I think that Stitch's Great Escape was intended for young adults and not for actual adults. That's why everyone hates him!

I love Stitch!!:sohappy: He's been one of my favorites since the first movie came out. There are some parts of that movie that still get me a bit choked up. (When he's looking at the Ugly Duckling book and goes, "I'm Lost!" Oh my goodness...) Anyway, I understand that there's many people that don't like him, because he seems to be everywhere in the parks. I mean, I am sick to death of the "princesses", but I know other people just love them. But I'm glad there seem to be so many people who do like Stitch. I was starting to think that I was alone!
