I understand where you are coming from because it is the way I have always felt after a trip up until this last one. We just got back May 7th from the best trip I've ever had to the world. It was honestly just perfect. But, by the end I started thinking to myself "You know what? There's a lot happening here right now and it's going to take awhile until it's all done, but I want to see it when it's all done." I guess I got to the point where I was really happy to be there but also really excited about the next chapter of Disney World. I realized that if I stayed any longer, there wasn't anything left to do? I'd ridden all the rides. I had purchased all of the merchandise I wanted. I tried the foods I liked. We met the characters we wanted to.
I guess I just told myself that the next time we come, it will be all different again. There will be new rides next time, new merchandise, new restaurants, etc. But, I have to give that time. I can't come back in 2 months or it will all be the same. And, I can't let it become to easily accessible or it loses the magic.
So, I told my husband that I want to go back when it's decorated for Christmas because I've never seen it. We decided that this Christmas was too soon. So, we are planning our next trip for November/December 2013. We want the FLE to be done, we want new merchandise in the stores, we want it to be different and to get that it takes time. Knowing that has really helped me be okay with the wait to go back.
Somtimes the worst days are the ones right when you get back because you know that it is so long until your next trip. But, just tell yourself that every day is one day closer to the next time you walk down Main Street!
