Possilbe New Resorts in the Epcot/DHS area

I know nothing around the feasibility of this, but it would make tons of cents if Disney were to build a Star Wars-themed resort and attached it to the south end of DHS. Surrounded by Star Wars morning, noon, and night would be a dream for some SW fans.

"Tons of cents"... I crack myself up.

The reality of it, though, is that if any WDW resort were to be built and attached to a theme park, it absolutely must follow the GCV model. Themed perfectly for the area of DCA that it is attached to and sized appropriately (from what I remember from my trip out there in late August/early September 2016) for the area.

Fantastic Beasts only did five hundred thousand more than Doctor Strange domestically. I'm sure they aren't happy with the US numbers. Moana made more. Worldwide grosses are fun, but the studios only really care about the US numbers when determining what to do with the movies.

Maybe if you're a fan looking at numbers. The studios themselves still only look at US numbers for the most part. Basically every 'big' movie makes around $500m in international money. When every single movie does around the same, it doesn't give them any information on whats 'hot' or 'doing well'. So they ignore it. They want the money, for sure, but they can't focus on those numbers to see what to make next. If it makes giant piles of international out of nowhere, such as Jurassic World, they take that into account. But if movie A and movie B both make $500-$550m international and one makes $100m less in the US, which number are they going to look at? The US number, of course.

Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad both made considerably more money both domestic and foreign than Fantastic Beasts. Both are considered failures both on the critical side and the amount of money they brought in. Bad enough that they caused DC to rethink their entire upcoming lineup.
