Why not Animal Kingdom? That'd be far superior than The Land, if not the MGM Studios.

Well, I think everyone agrees it would be best in MGM studios, but the reason I suggested the land is because the rumor IMPLIES that it will be put in EPCOT. I was just suggesting a better place then HISTA.
BTW, I read up on the 'Thunderbird', and Im thinking it would make a cool theme for an indoor coaster, with lots of mist, thunder and lighting, maybe even a little rain and wind..I'll post the entire idea on the Imagineer site, when I get it all worked out in my head and on paper, but, does anyone have any pictures of Cali Screamin'? Any descriptions/ pictures? I've heard there's some sort of 'water launch'? Is the track submerged? What? Throw me a fricken' bone here!

Ok, I can see the Soarin over ride at the Land. Awesome concept and lets face it FutureWorld has been stuck in the 1980's since well 1982.
I dont know much about this Flik THing but it sounds like a candidate for Studios not Epcot.
An indoor theatre at Epcot, HMM, lets see don't we have a few of those already? But, if the keep shows like Blast etc playing then let it be built.

As for Boardwalk at WDW, it was originally intended to be built with carnival type rides like those founf at Coney Island. Budget Cuts of course axed that idea.

I thought the reason the coaster and ferris wheel were removed from the Boardwalk was the fact that from both you would be able to see "ugly" backstage areas. Budget cuts weren't really an issue when they built the Boadwalk -- Disney was still rolling in dough.

I don't have a problem with the Theater. I think it would be a good fit, they could even use it to replace Odyssey.

They gotta do something with Odyssey. The only thing its good for is a place to take your "bio-breaks" as you're walking towards World Showcase or Futureworld (depending whether you're coming or going). I had posted something in here sometime ago about a "Test Track Cafe" -- maybe they can make Odyssey a "TT Cafe" -- but according to some of you who all replied to that posting... there was no "TT Cafe" in the works.

Any word on what kind of special events might be held in there, Rob?

Never fear, it does host things. The food and wine festival for instance often uses it. I'm not exactly sure what for this year, but I'm betting it will, and that starts the 19th of October

About the Odessy..
It would be great if Disney would use the building for special events, but I would hope they keep it filled with something throughout the year. I have heard that they use the building for VIP events, usually not open to the public. It is those kinds of uses for the building that I dont agree with. As I have said in a previous post, the building kinda just says "you can't get in here, but we can" to the paid guests.

Yeah... I'll be there... hopefully, with a large contingent of my friends... I'm currently trying to get a bunch of people I know together to go to the Festival... But, I'll bet I won't be getting inside Odyssey. It's probabl;y being used for the special too-expensive-for-a-college-student-to-pay-for dinners and such... which leads me to...
Exactly... I agree wholeheartedly. Open it up to the guests, or tear it down to make room for something else.
