Possible Pirate themed restaurant for Adventureland

I would love a pirates themed restuarant. It would totally break from the norm when it comes to Disney food halls. I can see a pirate making me walk the plank for not eating my peas.

Well I just spoke with my source about this and apparently it has been pushed back to 2008. They really wanted it opened this year but it isn't going to happen. I'm not really sure why it has been delayed but it could be for any number of reasons. The good news is its still going to happen just not as soon as everyone would like.

My friend was hired by Disney to work as a pirate wench waitress. I didn't believe her because, of course, right now there is no such place in WDW. I was pretty sure she was confused and thinking of a place in downtown Orlando. However, based on the information here, I'm certain she was correct and this is a real thing. She told me she doesn't start until December 2007 and her contract is for a year. She's really excited and I'm really hoping I can come down and see her!

one person says 2008, one says December 2007...sounds to me like they may have wanted this open for the P&P dates this August, but that won't work, so they'll aim to start it up for the winter P&P dates in 2008.

LOL...Disney has ALWAYS over killed current company/park trends till every copper cent is milked from its popularity. Pirates and Princesses are EXTREMELY popular, and I for one would take the classic Disney pirates and princesses overloading the parks any day (both sets have resided in the Magic Kingdom since the early 1970s as it is) over some obnoxious, newly devised cartoon character (Roger Rabbit, Stitch).

This too shall pass, but I feel a Pirates themed restaurant isn't out of place in Adventureland and would last far beyond the current public obsession with the Pirates of the Caribbean market. Especially when you consider that the attraction is highly adored and is the inspiration for the film, not visa versa.:drevil:

Leave the Rabbitalone :) I miss him :(
