Possible new attraction for WDW

Facts??? I guess. Invented applicability.

This is not an active project in development. Armchair imagineering, maybe? Reaching, definitely.

Well, my point is we don't know. That's why it's labeled as a rumor. We'll find out when or if it's ever announced, but I think I provided enough circumstantial evidence for why it shouldn't be ruled out. The trick in guessing is to try to think like an Imagineer and like a Disney executive.

I guessed at an Avatarland way before the announcement, but I shrugged it off as a possible WDI project because it was a Fox movie, not a Disney film.

There is a giant difference between imagining how something would be as a ride (or in this case imagining why a ride would be built) and a true rumour for a new ride. You have not stated that you have any inside sources and are just speculating on why this ride could be made. Speculation is when you get a plausible idea and share it with people (this), rumours are when you know something that we don't and share that knowledge. What separates rumours from news is that rumours aren't confirmed by the company yet.

Again... call it what you want, but it isnt a rumor. This forum isnt for guessing wildly on things that might happen. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

^ this. A rumor is " I heard from (insert source here) that there will be an AIW attraction based on the Tim Burton film" A rumor is not " I think there will be an attraction because Tim Burton and Johnny Depp love disney, and WDW has yet to add a classic dark AIW ride". I read this thread hoping for some kind of inside source or internet rumor by a blogger. Not to hear armchair imagineering. Peace, I'm out!

Have you ever heard of channeling?

Ah, but who's to say I haven't heard whispers of the such. I might not have used conventional means to hear the whispers, but I heard them all right. I'm borrowing a technique used by Madame Leota. It worked for her, didn't it? Who is to say it can't work for me?

Not a big Tim Burton fan and I think neither are 85% of Disney fans.
I admire his work, but it just doesn't fit into the Disney magic mold, so, outside of his Nightmare before Christmas gig, I just don't see his stuff being introduced into the parks. It's just too creepy for most folks.

Yet far less creepy than that rumored WDI / David Lynch collaborated attraction that's been in the works! Wow, what a weird ride that one is said to be... Makes Burton look up-beat and tame.

Burn the witch. I think this thread is over.

Without Channel, there would be no "quick" way for the British to cross into Paris from London and visit Euro Disney. Yet, we have more Brits flying across the pond visiting WDW... Go figure!

Come come now. Any random grouping of information can be brought together and made into a theory on the interwebs. Just ask these lads:

You only got half the announcement! Yes WDW is getting an attraction based on the billion dollar mega hit Alice in Wonderland, but DCA is getting a "Mad Tea Party" to replace Electronica in summer of 2012 as well. I don't think the Alice attraction at WDW will be opening until 2014 and I say WDW cause my sources have not confirmed if its going in either MK or DS. Alice was a strong contender to go where the new Seven Dwarf Mine Coaster is being placed in the New Fantasyland but they have saved this attraction to be placed somewhere else and to have a much larger footprint in the parks. I'm also not sure if this is the big new years eve announcement or not. I do know that an Alice in Wonderland attraction based off the Tim Burton's billion dollar remake is coming to WDW in the very near future. One more thing this attraction if executed like the models show could be even classified a 'land" its so large. We'll see:king:

See, everyone, I have reliable sources for my information. I may be cryptic at times and teasing, but there's truth to my "madness"...

I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!

 For a second there I thought you were serious!

Sadly (or gladly, depending on your point of view), I was serious. Sometimes "signals" are so strong, they can't be ignored and must be treated as someone's word. This was exactly the case here.
