Last week in the washington post they ran a story on a doctor over in france that had figured out a way to change diabetic mice to normal by doing a surgery on the large intestine which involved the bypass of part of the digestive track wich produced more insulin ( I believe this is the surgery I don't have the paper and not 100% sure but almost). Anyways they also mentioned a guy from new york who had been taking insulin along with medication for a number of years, he got the surgery and within a month I believe was having normal numbers. Just woundering if anyone else has any more information on the doctor or read anything else on the article. As doctors agree that it is a huge find, they also say they don't want people lining up at hospitals waiting for the surgery as it is still being evaluated. I have been having pre diabetic numbers which I can control with diet and exercise but would love to get this when and if it becomes public, the cost is 25,000 but it si woth it.
