That's what I thought, but RAT would seem to belie that. Its all but dead, other than as 'Pixar franchise'.It's Tough to be a Bug predates the franchise strategy (and A Bug's Life). The idea that Disney today is only interested in adding IP to the parks and therefore it should be accepted and done as best as possible is a complete misunderstanding of Disney's strategy. Disney's strategy is not the general field of "Disney" IP, it is franchises. This why x, y and z "deserving" films would never get represented, because they're not part of a current franchise. Attractions are created to support their franchise, anything else is secondary grafting to try and make it workable to the park.
No foul.Sorry, I shouldn't have been snarky though. I guess I just assumed you were; I do know the theme parks are just a part of the overall Disney name/brand, was just going off of the poster and what they were saying. No harm?
Well, In the last few decades basic "don't pollute" sentiment has been overshadowed by a much larger existential threat. Not that I expect Disney to be brave enough to cover it.When was the show introduced? A lot of the issues it covers, while still somewhat relevant, are not nearly as problematic today as they once were. Maybe more of a focus on how we have advanced from the problems we once had with food production and how modern technology has helped. Sort of a side note type of thing for Living with the Land.
I would think that Disney would have to be very careful on the topics they cover. While having an educational aspect to all of their attractions in Epcot is what many want in order to keep its legacy, covering controversial topics can actually detract from the experience.Well, In the last few decades basic "don't pollute" sentiment has been overshadowed by a much larger existential threat. The fact that this particular topic is controversial is sad.I would think that Disney would have to be very careful on the topics they cover. So... any updates on this rumor?
Have you read the thread?
Apparently Ratatouille got the greenlight and is going in France. @marni1971 @WildcatDen
Please point me to the ride being green lit. I must have missed that.
More to the point, I understand Rat is now permanent-marker green with construction commencing within the calendar year.
Any BatB work will involve relatively minor updates in New Fantasyland and more significant work for Theater of the Stars. Apparently the Pixar test this summer is meant to see how the space works as a flex space with differing day and night entertainment. It's not the only space at DHS under such consideration, and I personally agree with the attitude. It's a more efficient use of the space they have. Just have to see if we are smart enough to understand that one theater presents different shows.

Thats what I looking forward too! Cause you know after that, here come all the pictures of clearing land to construction!
Title change!
My sister loves Ratatouille (my family has a picture of her posing with something from the movie at DHS in 2008, need to find that), so I think she'll be pretty happy to hear about this.
I can't wait for the next title change that gets rid of the 'possible'. And for the next update from someone that says Impressions is definitely safe.
From what @marni1971 has posted, it shouldn't take that long. I think they want it operating around the same time as Star Wars.Green means go, go go! Full speed ahead with progress, err what's that? 4 years from now to open. I guess that's progress for you!
Was thinking about it too... Epcot Development posts needs its own sub-thread listing like Pandora, Disney Springs and Studios Development have at the top. Wonder when @wdwmagic will add it to the top with the other three?

Yeah I thought he and @Magic Feather said a turn around time of 2 years, before or around when SWL opens. Also why BATB isn't coming because Disney wanted a ride there sooner. From what @marni1971 has posted, it shouldn't take that long. I think they want it operating around the same time as Star Wars.
