Possibilities of DLP Disney Dreams Show coming to US Parks???

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

As some of you may know DLP has their new night time spectacular debuting soon and it is going to be amazing!!

Combining Fire, Fireworks, Projections on the Castle, Water Screens and Fountains it is set to debut for guests on April 1st!

Now after seeing unfortunate talk that this has been scrapped for MK is it 100% gone??

The following is from Steve Davison of World of Color fame and who is working on Disney Dreams in DLP all this month;

Could he be hinting at this tech coming to other parks in the future???

Here is a pic of tests taking place with the fountains;

Last fall it looked like a sure thing MK was getting it.

Now, I give it about a 30% chance. That's only if it goes over very well in Paris and can be imported at a minimal cost.

I'm guessing the projectors were meant to be stage 1???

Surely this show has to go over BIG at DLP??

It's all looking good so far!

I'm not sure it would work at MK..But Certainly it would be workable at AK..I think due to the size of the castle Moat wouldn't be able to configure how high the water get's launched and getting the guest wet. Also It would be a congestion nightmare as WoC packs them in.

What's great about the fountains under test is they're just the normal ones. Not the 12 compressed air ones :-D

Plus flame jets, LED lighting packages on the castle and the fountains, misting system, mist screens, pyro, a next gen MMY pixel mapping projection system, lasers even better than Wishes were and the DLP hubs amazing sound system. Wishes, WOC and RoE all in one.

Can't wait.

It was all planned out. Remember, Orlando has a hub moat instead of jus a castle moat ;)

Same problems existed at DLP!

The projections on the Castle are a big part so it would have to take place in MK!

The Disney Dreams show does sound incredible. I had no idea that there was a possibility of a version coming to MK!!! Lee said it was a definite last fall, but now, maybe 30%... But I can imagine this -- fountains all around the hub moat, seeing this show all around you a Circlevision 360 LIVE show on steroids!! :ROFLOL:

I HOPE that 30% goes way up!! Or that would be kind of a black eye for me.(And I defend MK's Entertainment all the time!!!!) On the other hand, only us on here know about this. It's not like MK made some sort of a Press Release, and then never followed through with it.

At least it's 30% and not 0%!! Maybe MK is waiting for the new Fantasyland to open. I mean, Steve has done HKDL, DLR, TDS, and now DLRP in the last year in a half. WDW has got to be next. Right?!??!?

Another thing I thought of was MK may have thought that they didn't want confuse the guests that look up summer events in orlando with another water show. I mean Orlando is already getting a water show at USO This summer. That sounds crazy I Know but it popped into my head!:shrug:

Anyone know who is paying for DLRP's Dreams?? DLRP or WDI?? If DLRP is, That should have a smaller price tag than MK's would. I would hope/like to think MK has more money to work with than DLRP does. How MK spends it is another story.

I don't think Wishes should go because it's getting stale. However, If Anyone in MK Entertainment or Steve Davidson himself has an idea for a show that can TOP Wishes BRING IT ON!!!!

It's not worth it. The decision has been made. Proposals to plus / expand all 3 main night time shows in Orlando have been scrapped.

And dare I say the Orlando show based on Dreams would have been even more impressive than the Paris version.

Annoying isn't it?

Where is JT to defend the "new sherriff?" Nothing new for decades... Pathetic.

Supremely.

Reminds me why if I go anywhere this year, it'll be Uni.

Hey, at least MK might get Spectro back! If a parade glows away for a couple of years and you bring it back, that qualifies for new entertainment, right?!

Well this is disappointing news not surprising though. I'm sure most people will be pleasantly happy with Wishes! and The Magic, The Memories and You! while Disneyland Paris suffers with this new show ;)

It's also too bad in just the past 3 years all the resorts have received amazing shows and parades by Steve Davison and his team, Disney Dreams!(DLP), Soundational(DL), Fantasmic!(TDS), Flights of Fantasy(HKDL) and World of Color(DCA). Next year they have TDR's 30th anniversary parade debuting. :)

I've given up on WDW entertainment. They have to many strikes, canceling of several parades: river of lights, new MK parades etc..., the complete desecration of Block Party Bash into what is easily the worst parade in decades (Even Stars and Motors had more going for it!), the complete laughing stock of a parade more than a decade old which is essentially a pig wearing lipstick, and all the missed opportunities to improve and regularly update Fantasmic!.

Disney World is the number one vacation destination in the world and what guest think of when they think of "Disney Parks". Is or isn't Disney an "Entertainment Company"?

It's time to demand better Entertainment!
