Thank you for this! We're going to be staying there in September. My wife has never been to WDW and it's been difficult for me to explain just how different staying in a Disney Resort is to staying in any other hotel. I think this will help her get excited. Right now, she thinks I'm a little insane to be 45 and practically giddy about going to WDW.

I promised to post a pic. This is what I love about POR. I do have to give props to Birdie here. It took him a good 5-10 minutes to get this all down. Between talking with her and holding his emotions back.

We stayed in the Royal Rooms as well and absolutely loved it - my wife and I liked it even more than our 4 year old son! I wonder if we waited for the same bus - was it around 6pm at the main stop on the Thursday? And were you with your mom?

Sorry just saw this!! I was with my mom and sister. Thursday we went to AK probably about 6 at the main stop.

Edit - my mom actually called about the bus issue and that our mousekeeper didn't actually clean our room... & they refunded her a night of our stay!!

I just made a full tour of Port Orleans Riverside in 4K UHD complete with narration to explain the different areas of the resort. This video took a long time to put together. Enjoy!

Perfect timing, my daughter and I are going for 3 days in August in a celebration of the life of the mother and wife we lost a year ago August 8th . Normally only stay at DVC resorts but the pass holder discount included POR so I said why not. I have walked through POR and FQ once on my way to Typhoon Lagoon from AK Jambo, I know it doesn't make sense but it was a go with the flow day. Very nice walking tour, long, but nice. Your video was a perfect primer to start trip preparation.
