Just booked our first time at POP! Heard so many good things from you nice folks. Arriving 12/17/08. Never seen WDW at Christmas. Very excited! One question. We booked a pref room. Where are those rooms? Any thing we should check out while at POP?

Thanks!

We stayed at Pop last Sept. & are staying there again this year.
We really enjoyed it.
We also thought of booking a preferred room last year, but I am glad that we didn't spend the extra $.
There was only a short walk from our room in the 50's section to the food court & the bus stop.
We were also near the 50's pool.
This year, we have requested the 70's section.
If you like chocolate, try the chocolate cake in the food court! :slurp:
Look for the hidden Mickeys in the food court too!
We had a blast at Pop last year & are excited to go back this year.
Have fun!

The preferred rooms are in the buildings closest to Classic Hall. I had a preferred room last October and we were in Building 10 in the 70's section on the main floor. We were steps away from Classic Hall, the main pool and the bus stops.

:)You will thoroughly enjoy yourself at POP. It's just a fun place to stay. I love walking into the lobby and hearing music from the different decades. I've stayed there twice and did not spend the extra $ for a preferred room, but it's always nice to be close to the main building so you can fill up your mug at the food court without too long of a hike.

Christmas at Disney is magical. I was there 8 years ago and we'll be there this December. The decorations and music put you in such a festive mood.

You're arriving on the day we leave. Have a great time!

I'll be at POP christmas night before my family goes to stay at OKW with our points. I'm sooo excited.

You have to go look at the resorts all decorated. We walked around the Boardwalk area last year and saw Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Fla.

The Pop Century is great, just walking around the resort is a blast, the pools are all a must see and the Huge decorations are a "Big" hit. On my trip there in May of 05' my friends and I ate dinner in the lobby food court and loved all the options. We had a drink at the Martini bar played a bit in the arcade then boarded a bus to Disney Quest, all of this absorbed just our first day. We found everything to be wonderful, very accessible, and anything we needed was easily found. I would suggest renting a fridge since they were not supplied in the rooms. Before we checked in we stopped by the grocery store for a couple of snacks and other necessities so having one placed in our room before we got there was a big help. Hope this helps, enjoy your trip!
