Pop: Noise at Hippy Dippy Pool?

We are staying at Pop in May and have paid for a preferred room. Can anyone comment on the noise level in rooms facing the Hippy Dippy pool? We have a 2 year old who will be napping mid-day and early bedtimes. Thanks

After staying in the past at both Pop Century and All-Star Music in a preferred room facing the pool, my advice to you would be to request a room not facing the pool, i.e. the parking lot. We found the noise level intolerable at times and they do nothing to stop the screaming kids at 12:30 at night. We just returned from All-Star Music last week, and we had a preferred room facing the parking lot....it was excellent. When we checked in and I asked for a room not facing the pool, the CM looked at me like I was crazy and said that she has never had anyone ask for that - apparently, most people want the pool-facing rooms, so you should have no problem with them accommodating your requests. Have fun.

I booked a preferred room too; never having stayed there, I'm also worried about the pool noise.
The only request I made was not facing the pool, and I'm glad to see that it will hopefully be easy to get!

We stayed at Pop in a preferred room in 2004 and also never had problems with the noise. However, our room was almost all the way at the far end of the building by Hourglass Lake so that may have had something to do with it as well.

Pop has preferred rooms in 6 different buildings:
2 in the 60s
2 in the 70s
2 in the 50s

If you would prefer to not face the pool, I'd request a room in the 70s section or in the 60s section facing away from the pool.

I didn't find the noise to be loud enough to disturb a nap by any means or give you troubling puttin' the little guy down, but it can definately be faintly heard.

The 70's are great

We stayed in the 70's and your just far away from the noise but your still about 2 minutes from everything.

Just ask them to be close to main building...

Enjoy it's a great resort.

We are going back in December.
