Pop Century

Hi All.:wave:

My family and I are staying at the Pop Century this December and just had a question.

I was looking at pics of the resorts and came across a very large Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. Where are they located at in that resort? What section are they closest to?

My DS loves them and would get a kick out of seeing them everyday.

They're on the side farthest away from the main gate, off near the 70s/80s section. Hang on a sec and I'll find a google map image.

The jagged curved pavement at the top is the bus stop and the "front" of the resort. At the bottom of the screen you'll see a computer-monitor pool. Look left toward the "keyboard" of the pool, then to a wedge-shaped set of greenery. The wedge points toward a small circle near the lake. That's where the Taters are.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head stand near a giant Rubix Cube by 80's between the 70's on the path towards the lake.

That is really cool. Thanks for your help.

The only problem is I don't see a pool in the picture near the bottom or any pool at all. At the bottom of the picture, it shows one of the resort buildings, with breakdancing or something like that written on it.

I think i will try and get in the 80s section,then.

No problem -- may be a difference with your monitor resoultion. Just keep going "down" on the screen until you run out of resort

We had our pictures taken with the Potato Heads. I can't post picutres but PM me if you would like me to email pictures of them. They are really cute. It was a must do for us. We did have a hard time finding them and had to ask a CM. They are way in the back. Hope that helps.

Does anyone know anything about how the preferred rooms work? My travel agent has booked us a preferred room but we were wondering if we should same the $13/day difference on the room and rent a refrigerator instead. If just the rooms is the Classic Years are open then no room should be that far from everything, should it? On another site is also said that 90% (or something high like this) of the resort was considered preferred.

Seems like just yesterday I was walking around the lake, and spotted those spud-heads...

Ah well...I'll be back in September...
