We will be at the Pop Century over Presidents Day (less than a month...the Disney dreams have begun!!)

I was just wondering what (if anything) we will be able to see of the Legendary Years construction.

I'll be there from the 10th to the 15th...is that the only section that is not complete?

You will be able to look across the lake and see the buildings. That is about all that is done though. They haven't begun to decorate the buildings over there yet.

The resort is in two sections; Classic years and legendary years; each with it's own food court/lobby. Only the classic years section is complete and currently open (1950's through 1990's). As for the legendary section, only the lobby building and one of the accomodation buildings are built. The incomplete side is unaccesible and off limits but you can see the two buildings from a distance and as you drive to the resort entrance on Victory Way road. Classic years are on the east side and the legendary years is on the west side of the complex. The resort entrance is on the NW corner of the property.

The Legendary section: The brown building you see from Victory Way and driving up to the security booth is one of the accommodation buildings from the "currently on hold" Legendary side of the Pop Century Resort (1900's through 1940's). The only room building built so far. When you enter the resort gate, you are actually driving around the north side of the lake (appropriately called Hourglass Lake due to it's shape) to get to the Classic section on the east side of it. The Legendary main building (food court/lobby) is also built. No other buildings are up although it appears ground work had been done on most of the other planned buildings in that section. I was just there last week and all signs of construction is gone and the area looks like it was deserted. I've heard no word as to if/when it will be completed. The bridge (Generation Gap bridge, to be exact) leading from the east side of the lake to the west side is complete but on the west side they have planted trees and bushes to hide the Legendary side from up close. Right now it is the bridge to nowhere. The buildings are clearly visible from other locations though at a distance.

The Classic side, which is open and complete, is very similar to the
All-stars. Food court/store setup is a little different but the decor of the buildings (big and bright) are similar to All-stars.
