Poor show at Epcot 1/28/18

Just like some people on the Harley's davison forums might obsess about the shade of color chosen, I obsess about if all the jets at JII are working. And I enjoy sharing that with everybody and hope someone at Disney might see this and take not. Don't judge me for looking for these things. At first when I joined these forums I didn't care as much but now I look at every little detail. It's what fans do
Different people like different things I guess.
What he ^ said. No judgement here. I just don't see what you see is all.

The walls are not poor show.

There was miss matching paint colors, the glass was dirty and not all the jets working.

There's a tile missing

And for those judging me for looking for these tiny details, we are all different. None of this affects my enjoyment of the parks. If you want to be perfect however it's important to look at all the details. Which is why I enjoy looking for these tiny things. It's like an Easter Egg hunt for me.

Fair enough, just expect a little bit of fun to be had with this thread. When you say you enjoy looking for things that need fixing it sounds a little strange unless you qualify it (which you kind of have now). I'm still a bit confused why the walls covering work being done were included though as it would surely look much worse if they weren't and you could see some overweight builder's cheeks on display as he bent over working

Based on the monorail tracks being wet and the rest of the area being wet, it looks like it was wet, not a different paint, it looks like a sprinkler was on or rain run off. Im just not seeing it...Yes, the jets aren't super powerful, but its not like they were always perfect anyway.

I have to admit, that Walt would wonder around the park and look to see what the guests would see stage side. He would have anything that detracted from his magic he was creating fixed. The OP has a point that I doubt to many real Disney mover and shakers walk the stage side of the Mouse anymore. They don't check it out and go "Huh, that needs paint." etc. Just to be fair to the OP, I went through the pictures. I an not certain what was poor show quality, but I would imagine the window washers could be a little more active in keeping the glass pyramids cleaner, maybe. Hard to do between storms in monsoon season. The backwards falls is no excuse. They should have painted the whole thing and used the right paint color, that is sloppy work by some contractor, truly. The test tract wall, I have to admit, would have been painted with a mural or something than a drab wall. I know people get tired of hearing "What would Walt do?", but this is a prime example of Walt's showmanship vs the corporate bottom line. The work walls, yep I got nothing their. The only thing I could possible see that is bugging the OP, is that you have the hard angles, abrupt cut off of facades. Being a contractor, you want as much room as you can get to do your work. Maybe, that's why the paint is half done on the falls, the work wall was put half way between, so the contractor just did what was inside the walls?
Like I said earlier the walls aren't poor show. I should have made that more clear but I decided to throw them in.

While WDW has a bad track record for maintaining ride effects... apart from DLR or TDL, WDW is still the best in the business for maintaining a pristine looking park and if you go out of your way to notice a paint job in progress, one single missing panel, one single missing water sprayer on an elaborate fountain... you're intentionally looking for things to complain about.

UOR has an opposite situation: the rides are generally in very good show quality, but the parks themselves lack polish and are rather worn and beat up outside of WWoHP.

I really don't see what is supposed to be poor show with the Imagination Pavilion. The tops are darker because of the angle causing less reflection towards the viewer and the triangles are structural steel that is heavier than the others and tie the structure together.

The two buildings can look different because they are structurally slightly different as can be seen in the white steel beams of the windows. That means that they are not equally reflective. Sometimes they look very similar and at others quite different. Internal lighting might affect the look too, especially on cloudy days.

So, I don't see the poor show just the buildings as they are designed.

They should make that an Interactive Hunt and give you stickers to place on a map for places that need fixing and cleaning. Then the guests are at work for WDW inspecting the place! In every job that must be done there is an element of fun, you find the fun, and snap! The job's a game!
