Pooh's Hunny Hunt

Don't count on it....they yanked Mr. Toad for it, and I don't think taking a ride away like that was something they took lightly.

As always, i could be wrong....i have been before.

it was roughly as popular as the Mike Fink Keelboats (which I never rode...)...I don't think it was a tough decision to take stuff like Toad and Horizons out...I mean Horizons was closed half the time and Toad had waits of like 5 minutes all the time...it was one of the few rides that I actually HATED...also not a big fan of Snow White's Scary Adventures...I'm a Peter Pan/Pooh kinda guy...

Mr. Toad "was" cool about 30 years ago. How many Mr. Toad dolls or point of sale items have you seen associated with that ride? Pooh (I dislike him, no offense to the English) sells like hotcakes! Pooh bear this and Pooh bear that is all over the place. He replaced Mickey in sales a few years ago.

I just saw the video for this ride...it looks AMAZING..I hope they replace our Pooh ride with it...

I hope Disney realizes the mistake they made and replace Pooh with Mr. Toad!

None taken - although technically I'm a Scot I'm still a big Winnie the Pooh fan. Have you tried actually reading the books rather than relying on the Disney version - much more subtle and plenty of grown up humour if you look for it!

I'm sure there was a way to include Pooh's Adventures without replacing it for Mr. Toad's. But they did the quickest thing, that is to take advantage of a section that was already built and prepared for the type of ride, instead of close one of the shops or candy-store to make a ride.
Snow White is meant for kids so don't call it crap or anything of the sort, since the ride is great for little kids that are familiar with the movie or story. Sometimes you need to see rides from a different point of view. When I was a kid I loved It's a Small World, now I never ride it, times change, people too. Some things you give a glance, others love.

Snow White is great for little kids? All I ever see is little kids coming off of it in tears. That's why there is never a line for it--no little kid wants to have nightmares about the witch being around every corner...my nephew was two last year and hated it. I don't really see who the target audience is for this ride...this year he's ready to go on Splash Mountain, Dinosaur, etc...

It depends on how old he is and how the kid reacts to the ride. My little cousin never cried in it, even I never cried as a child.

I agree with DogsRule that Snow White is pretty lame for most adults especially compared to Peter Pan or Pooh. And most children under 6 seem to be terrified of it. I'm not in favor of getting rid of any ride but I wouldn't be surprised to see Snow White go the same way as Toad.

I am with you, being a Huge Winnie the Pooh Fan myself. It is important that we are talking about the classic books by A.A. Milne and not some of the books and movies take offs. Some of the Disney stories are rather lame and missing the subtle humour and whimsy that I adore. But they (Disney) did a good job with the orignal movie and the ride mirrors this with the pages of the books. I think it was about time WDW had a Winnie the Pooh attraction. They would sell merchandise all over the place but not have an attraction.
I have been a huge Pooh fan ever since I was a young child (my mom would read me the stories, a good memory) but it is somewhat disapointing how popluar he has become. 15 years ago when I started collecting things they were much harder to find. Now its just too easy.

He must be tall if he can go on Splash Mountain and Dinosaur already!

yup! 40 inches! My sister fed him Miracle Gro (just kidding!). He could technically go on the Tower of Terror, but he's scared just looking at it...as is his mom (but we get her on it hehe). He wants to go on Big Thunder...if it's open. No three-year old belongs on Alien Encounter, but I think he'll go on Kali River Rapids, Star Tours, and Test Track. He developed a favorite ride at age two...Pirates of the Caribbean:D "What do you want to do today, Christopher?" "PIWATES!" He's a big fan of the thrill rides...especially any boat rides with drops...he's gonna LOVE Splash Mountain and Kali! (I'll have him on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster by age 5...J/K!!!)
