it's not TECHNICALLY the same ride system...ToT's is much more elaborate (and better). No where else can the cars leave one shaft and travel on their own to another, and no where else is the drop as violent (constant ups and downs). And those stupid spaceshots are freakin painful! Being a guy...with a bar between my legs and being shot up like that...I refuse to ride those as I would like to have kids one day...that and I don't drink Mountain Dew...

No, you misunderstood me. When I employed the word "TECHNICALLY" I'm referring to the frequent mechanism used in the ride. In this case: the drops. The case of ToT is really difficult to compare since there is no other attraction in the world that functions that way. But, all in all, I was making a far-fetched comparison as an irony to the comparison I was rejecting before, like Peter Pan being the same as Pooh.

Have you gone to IOA?

While some of the rides are a little short compared to Disney, the park in general holds it's own. The Suess Landing area is comparable to Fantasyland...and I think the cat in the hat ride is comparable, if not superiour to Disney's latest addittion there (pooh).

Spiderman is the most advanced thing to hit Orlando. Nothing and I mean NOTHING in WDW touches that ride.

The theming in the Lost continent is immersive...and in my opinion belongs in AK. Mythos is a really neat place to look at and eat.

Don't get me wrong. I love WDW as much as the next person...but don't write off anything else due to brand loyalty.

I think you must live in Fantasy land if you really believe this statement.
:animwink:

Have you been to IOA? The whole area of Suess Landing appears like it was removed from a Dr. Suess book.

Fantasyland, while charming in it's own quaint way, doesn't really tell a coheisive story on it's own. It's a collection of different story rides.

To each his own, and if you've seen IOA and made that statement, more power to you. I've seen both. IOA has replaced AK in our vacation itenerary. If you haven't gone, you should give it a try. Great park.
