Did pooh offically close today for rehab?

I did not know it was going down for rehab, I rode it last night around 11:30 with only a 5 minute wait. I also rode Buzz that ride needs a serious paint job(the ride vehicles).

Hoping for safety upgrades

I for one am glad that the Pooh ride is getting a bit of rehab work. I hope that they improve on the safety aspects of the ride (I read that they may be doing safety upgrades on another site).

Why do I think it need safety upgrades? ... In January, my family and I had just finished the ride and were exiting our little honey pot when the ride took off -- two of us still in it and the others halfway out. No one was seriously hurt (just bruises and a crying kid for a while), but it certainly gave us our share of adrenaline for the day! After the incident, guys with leather jackets and earpieces showed up, whisked all of the rides' employees away, and placated us (I thought that was pretty cool!). I was satisfied with how they handled the situation... after all, people make mistakes.

You got hurt on Pooh? Did they try to compensate you in any way shape or form? Just being curious

At first, the guy at the exit quickly wrote out a slip that was like a use-anytime on any ride fast pass (if that makes sense). It was obvious that he wanted to get us out of there because he didn't want to get in trouble. He was pretty rude. So we went to the giftshop and the lady there was so sweet. She gave my niece a little plush Piglet to get her to stop crying, and she called in the managers. Those were the guys in leather jackets with the earpieces (they looked really cool!) who swept away all of the castmembers that were working on the ride (that was incredible; done in seconds). The manager that dealt with us just kept saying that he wanted to make sure that we were happy. So he didn't offer anything specific, but if we had pressed the issue he may have. He did say, though, that it takes two people not doing their job for that to happen. He was a very nice guy -- very good at his "damage control" job.

Maybe someone on these board has been a castmember who operated the Pooh ride? I would be curious to hear what makes the cars go after people get out.

It will never replace Mr. Toad in my book :D I loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. So I have, and will never ever, ride Winnie the Pooh. I hate the cartoons on top of it.. egh, don't get me started.
