Poncho Up, Find a Plug and Keep On Havin' Fun Trip Report

Hello, everybody! I guess I’ll start my report. Just to recap from my pre-trip report, I’m Jennifer. My hubby is Lance and two boys are Cameron and Wyatt. Our trip started on Wednesday, June 5th, the last day of school, and we got back on Thursday, June 13th.

I guess I’ll start on Tuesday the 4th. Although I normally get to bed before 10p, I was up ‘til 11 and woke up on the 5th at 3a. My mind wouldn’t calm down. So, we dropped Annabelle off at the Happy Mailman, got the kids off to school and ran a couple last minute errands.

Lance and I packed and ended up needing our really large suitcase and a normal sized suitcase, making sure our super duper sized suitcase was less than 50 lbs. without forgetting anything (ha!). We cleaned, since our neighbor was cat sitting, and left the house to pick up the boys 2.5 hours before the final bell. They were OK missing out on their last little bit of class time. We picked up our older son lunch and made it to the FastPark lot.

We got to the airport, through security and waited for the plane.

Our flight was good

but a little turbulent on the way down.

We got our bags and headed to Magical Express. We quickly got on our bus. Coronado Springs was the first stop – whooo hooo! We were checked in by a CM from France (I kept getting him to talk.) and were placed in Casitas. We wanted to be near the Dig Site and were relocated to Ranchos 7A.

Since it was past dinner time, we dropped off our bags and walked back for a chicken caesar wrap for me, hot dogs for the boys and a burger for Lance at Café Rix (no pics).

We mulled over our plans with the tropical storm and decided to make a final decision in the morning when we saw what they expected the effects to be.

I hope the pictures look OK and are sized well and hope you enjoy reading.

So sorry I hadn't gotten to your tr earlier! It's fabulous! Meeting you and your lovely family was one of the highlights of my trip!
I just found this one also. It is fabulous. The pictures are so good.
I have been having problems with my hands, so I haven't been able to respond to much. But, this is an opportunity to tell all you guys who have done tr's for June, they are all so enjoyable. I am so jealous I couldn't be there to meet all you guys.
I hope my hands get better so I can go back in and respond to all the other great June tr's.

Ah, nuts! Your TR ended :( Too bad my family and I couldn't get a later flight on 6/12, so we could've participated in the WDWMAGIC meet-up in MK...alas, our flight was the one and only non-stop to MDT that day.
I love the "hidden Oswald" find!! Kind of wished we would've known that as well!
Oh, we're planning on a DLR trip in 2014, leaning toward end of January or beginning of February...I've been doing my due diligence in research, which has been keeping me away from my own TR (that and reading everyone else's)!
Thanks again for sharing!

It would have been great if you could have made it, but unfortunately, life sometimes throws us curveballs.

Looking for Oswald must be on your to do list for next time. :)

I think we are settled in on Spring Break 2015 for DLR, or as Sam the Eagle might say, A Salute to Southern California but mostly Disneyland. I'd love to compare notes.

You're welcome, and thanks for reading along. Now, back to your TR.

We need time for things to happen.
We wanted another picture of the hidden Oswald. Cameron wanted me to post it on facebook. OK, Cameron. Well, we started looking for it and saw three CMs just standing right in the middle of the walkway. We asked, “Isn’t Hidden Oswald nearby.” One CM moved her foot and voila! I said something cute like, “Oh, no, poor Oswald,” but we quickly figured out their plan. They were waiting for the first person/family who was looking for Oswald.

One of the CMs had a menu hiding this

Now, that's Magical!!!! A large bowl of strawberry/ice cream(maybe)/whipped cream delight. Our jaws dropped, and we all chuckled and moaned. D’oh! Still stuffed from ‘Ohana, we thanked them profusely but had to decline in the hopes they could make Magic for someone else who really wanted a treat of this epic proportion. We talked about ‘Ohana and how much we ate. Thanking them again, we were off to Liberty Square: Haunted Mansion one more time. Since the guys have never seen Hall of Presidents, we inquired when their last show was and how long the show is. Once again, we couldn’t fit it in.

We hopped over to BTMRR and rode it twice. First time with a five minute wait, second time with a 15 minute wait. On one of the two times through the line, a CM said, “Back again? I saw you first thing this morning.” Keen eye! We said, “Yep!” Such a sweet CM to recognize us (probably with the help of our zany shirts) and to say something to us.

You know I'm a realist, and I will always be honest when Uni is kicking WDW butt, however this type of thing is something special and NOBODY does it better than Disney!

So happy that you guys got to experience something like this VERY COOL! Too bad you couldn't enjoy the spoils!! However I know that "I know taht Ohana' " feeling and that's no joke. ;)

Hmmm!!?? Orange slices in the salad? Something new? How was it? I remember the dressing was strawberry vinaigrette last time we were there.

The salad was very fresh, and I LOVED the citrus in it. I can't place the flavors in the dressing. It wasn't a strawberry, but it was light and paired in well.

I SO wish I had gotten their names. I could kick myself now, but yes, Disney does things like this well. Maybe, I can send Disney this picture. After e-mailing my comments to guest relations, I got an e-mail back promising me someone will call me within 10 days, so I could add this one in.

Oh, silly me! I forgot to add that sometime in the heat of the afternoon we stopped by Club Cool. I liked the ginger ale and the watermelon. I don't remember what the Mexico drink was, but I told the guys don't try the Beverly. "I've heard it tastes awful." The hubby tried it; he's an adventurous person.

"It's not too bad."

I wanted my kids to try the Beverly but all the taps were down on Father's Day when we last visited.

No Beverly for us eithero_O

Awwww! That's just wrong! Maybe they ran out since it's SO popular.

Ok Just got done reading! Great job! Thanks for sharing.

I love the pics EXCEPT for the last day on the way home airport pics..gaahh!!
It's almost as depressing watching you go through it as it is to actually go through it...ALMOST.

Thaks, Shookie. I did think of you while we were on Splash Mountain. Didn't you get stuck and have to be led out the back way?

Thanks, littleroo! Actually, I don't think I cried until I finished my report. Then the floodgates opened. Yes, plan 2015 spring break, and the hubby is already on board. :D
