Polynesion or Wilderness lodge?

When I go to Disney in November which resort should my family stay in we have a choice between the Polynesion or the Wilderness Lodge. I don't know which is better. I heard the Polynesion pool is awsome. Can anybody help, Thanks.

It's just, well, the Poly.



Let me go a little more in depth. It is right there near the MK, you have a beach, a great pool, you can watch the fireworks. At night, its amazing with the torches lit, the atmosphere is just great. It is also a much more central location than the WL IMO.

I really like both resorts, but favor the Wilderness Lodge for one reason alone. It has a couple of hot tubs. Last time I walked around the Polynesian new pool area, I didn't see any hot tubs. But if there are hot tubs at the Poly, forgive me...and stay there...

i vote for the WL reason its beautiful there It has special meaning for me I stayed there for my honeymoon that could be the reason I love it so at night just walking out side seeing the geyser it very romantic

The Polynesian, hands down.
It's simply beautiful. The resort is spread out but not overly large, so you can walk around and not feel like you are on top of anyone. There is no hot tub. However, the volcano pool is great, and at the end of the pool, there are lots of jets to soothe the body. At night you can watch the electric water parade from the beach, as well as watch the fireworks over the MK. You can also rent boats from the marina. The resort is great for couples as well as families. It is very romantic, as well as a lot of fun :sohappy:

I have stayed at both, and if I had the choice, even though I too was at the wilderness lodge on my honeymoor, I would stay at the polynesian. IMO, the atmosphere is completely different and just more fun. Additionally, the location is better for seeing things like fireworks from your hotel room. the downside, the poly tends to have more families, while the wilderness lodge (at least when I was there) had more couples and older people.

spacious rooms......
on the monorail.....great if u have younger kids.....
Beautiful secenary.....
Sandy Beach.....
Character Breakfast....
FiS and The water pagent.......
excellent service.....
Kool pool......
extreamly quiet......
u can walk to the TTC.....
Boat to and from MK too.....

and theres muck more.......

You should stay at the Polynesian because the atmosphere of the hotel is the greatest. The pool is awesome, the beach is great, the view of Cinderella's castle from the beach and the many different ways to get to MK. My family loves the Polynesian and stayed there twice in our last three visits and it is a great hotel.

I stayed at WL because it is less expensive than the Polynesian.

If money were no object, I would stay at the Polnesian.

But NEXT TIME I would try the WL.

Here is my opinion which makes very good sense because I am very smart. :lol:

It all depends on where you are from. I am from Chicago, so the last thing that I want to stay at is a resort like the WL which has a theme that makes me feel like I am in Wisconsin! My aunt, who lives in Florida, loves the WL because it IS nothing like Florida.

I love the Poly. It really makes you feel like your on a tropical Island.

Both resorts are beautiful, but I would always choose the poly over the WL. The beach, the pool, the atmosphere, the MONORAIL!

There has been a change in plans. Now we are talking about going to Coronodo Springs Resort, I looked a t some pics of it and it looked awsome. Does anybody now anything about CSR. Is'nt new?

THE POLY!!!!!!!

I've never stayed at either one but i've been to Artist Point and Ohana's. And, hands down, the poly.
if we, my family and i, were to stay at a deluxe resort next time
it would be the poly.

I have only stayed at the Poly but I have been to the Wilderness Lodge. Stay at the Poly. It is on the monorail which makes it very easy to get to MK and EPCOT. Also, the new pool with the volcano slide is awesome.

I agree, the Coronado looks awesome, especially if you aren't from the Southwest and the theme is different for you. (Like people from Oregon aren't too impressed with the WL, because they see big trees all the time)

The food court situation is a little weird--there is a 10% gratituity added to your bill. (We almost never eat a meal at the food court--drinks and snacks is it, so that wouldn't matter too much to me)

It is quite spread out, so look at a map before you go so you can make an informed room request.
