Poly or Boardwalk for two adults?

So my wife, kids and I just got back from a wonderful 9 day trip at WDW spent at AKL and WL, but she and I weren't able to do some of the things we wanted to -- namely some nicer restaurants, because our 3 and 5 y/o's were just too tired. With some quick planning we've decided to return just the two of us for a 4 night trip in July and narrowed it down between the Boardwalk and Poly. We'd stay in a standard/garden view room and can get the AP discount. Initially we booked the Boardwalk, but after deciding we'd be eating at Narcoosee's and California Grill, coupled with the fact that EPCOT closes at 9pm every night we're there, while MK stays open until 2am two of the nights, we've decided to switch to the Poly. We love the laid back atmosphere of the Beach Club and its close proximity to EPCOT, which is why we initially chose the Boardwalk, but it doesn't seem like we'd be taking advantage of that proximity as much since EPCOT and MGM (oops DHS) close relatively early. Did we make the right decision?

I have not stayed at either, however, my DH and I just had to make this decision. And we chose Poly. There is just something about the Boardwalk that I don't really like. I have no basis for this but its just a personal opinion. As for staying out and what to do - you really can't go wrong with either resorts. My DH and I usually go to Epcot every evening and it was really nice to just walk out the back gate to the Yacht Club when we stayed there. And when we stay at the GF (our favorite) it is kind of a pain to take the monorail to the TTC and then to the resort. But we love it when we are at MK.
