POLY Concierge is Worthless

That may be what you meant, but it is sure not what you typed. Your post is all sorts of judgy. So yeah, maybe you do need to go back and read what you have posted.

Ok here it is...

No, but it was hard work to be able to afford what we want. Others who are just born wealthy shouldn't be judged, and they shouldn't judge those who are trying to become wealthy or those too lazy to try.

By saying that folks who are either trying to become wealthy, or those who are too lazy to try to become wealthy shouldn't be judged is me being "judgy?"

I'm through with conversation, I came in to see why I shouldn't book poly concierge for December. We got back Sunday from Beach Club and thought we'd book something fancy for our next trip. Were definately doing Poly but not concierge if it's worthless.

It's obvious that Disney doesn't want to offer that type of service, possibly for several reasons, such as keeping people on property instead of getting tickets to offsite venues like a true concierge would. So it would in a sense burst the bubble of being immersed in Disney, as well as possibly not be in Disney's financial interest.

So faced with that, I hop on the bandwagon that Disney should change the name of the levels and employee titles to something different, perhaps even a made-up name by Disney, like "Extra Magic Level" and "Magical Consultants".

This reminds me of that famous old Woody Allen line that goes something like - "The food was terrible, and there wasn't enough of it."
"There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions."

That's from Annie Hall, and I thought of it immediately when I read this, too!!

We stayed at concierge level in December, only for a few days. I felt really disappointed with the food as well. And I just found an email from that trip that says, "Let us take a moment to explain the King Kamehameha Club check-in process. Upon your arrival at our resort, please proceed to the Valet Desk. You will then be met by one of our Curbside Cast Members who will escort you directly to the Club Concierge Longhouse for check-in." So - the greeting isn't a myth, it's just not really practiced. We weren't greeted, either. We had to walk around the Polynesian lobby trying to find "some guy with an iPad." (That's what the Valet told us to look for). Once we found him, he took us back. Our check-in process was lovely, and extremely convenient. But again, the food really was a let down.

I wonder if the Grand Floridian club level is worth it? I don't think I would do the Polynesian again.
