oh, haven't been to Sea World in about 10 years (as a kid). Seems to high to pay the price of a disney ticket to see dolphins...

SeaWorld is fun, and it has free beer! The shows have changed over the past four years so if you haven't gone, I suggest to try it one day.

Just think, there are no lines because you're sitting in a stadium waiting for a show to start and there's a lot of shade!

Universal and IOA are great fun. Best coasters in town.

Mickey beats on theming, but I'd go to all the parks.

I like how there are 25 mouse freaks that would not go to other parks for half the price. Sea World and Universal both are fantasic parks and it is a shame that people are so thick headed into going to Disney parks. Oh well I guess it is just shorter lines at the other parks for me. :D

Competition is good for everyone !

Why did this move to Universal... it fits in the Disney General Discussion as much as US or SW? Esp since most replies are about just going to Disney anyways.

Good posting! Universal and Sea World are awesome! It gets on my nerves when people won't try them just because they're not Disney. I also can't stand it when people compare Universal to a Six Flags, because Universal is way more like a Disney park than a Six Flags park.

There are fanboys in every facet of life. Whether it's cars or bikes or televisions, you will always have people who refuse to believe something other than their favorite brand is decent.

Well you lot certainly know how to knacker up a perfectly good one.

:ROFLOL: QFT :ROFLOL:

anyway... jokes aside...

seeming as i have flown in from the uk - im going to make the most of my visit.

IMHO i prefer extreme rides so i pick busch and IOA for parks i must visit...

i can happily avoid seaworld - i hate cheesey drivel, infact i find it extremely dull and boring - just get on with the show, and more to the point and tell us some ACTUAL DETAILS/INFORMATIONS on the species that your showing.

Of course i like wdw - but i like to experience some rides that are going to throw me about a bit also :)

I have nothing against the other parks, but there is more to do on property than I can do in one trip, so there really is no reason for me to consider other options.

I have a WDW AP, and as jozzmenia said the Universal AP is so affordable if you do it monthly that I thankfully don't have to think of admission there.

However, yeah, if Sea World was cheaper I could see spending a day there. Just don't feel it's worth it for that much money to take the time. We have a large reigonal aquairum near us (with multiple buildings, shows, and such) so while Sea World certainly has more, it doesn't have enough for us to want to fork over those prices.

We can't go to Sea World because my daughter is studying to be a marine biologist and is a sea life activist..she'd get us kicked out...lol. Whenever I ride past Sea World these days it feels like it's in someone's backyard..and why I feel this way I don't know.

However,we have done the Dolphins in Depth tour at EPCOT and she loved that..probably because the dolphins do not have to participate if they don't want to...and one was being extremely bad the day we were there..and he was hilarious (he was grounded and had his "people taken away"...which means he was not allowed to participate in the tour with the other dolphins. I guess we are like huge action figures to them).

We used to do other parks as well as Disney years ago, but that was when my dad worked for a corporate sponsor and got great deals at the Contemporary (1/2 price or sometimes comped rooms). it used to be cheaper to go to WDW than to our local NJ boardwalk.

And the food! The food is disgusting and there's maybe 3 places to eat - including counter service - in the entire park!

Do they let you pick your own dinner from the fish tank? LOL Actually that might be intersting if the Coral Reef wouldl et you do that...a little extra added attracton there.

Do they still put the dolphins out to be harassed by the kiddies and have fish shoved down their throats? I always hated that.

I love Universal! It's worth visiting even with a full price! Halloween Horror Nights is great too as long as you dont do it on a weekend. Thursdays arent as bad. Im probably the only Universal fan on here! I got an annual pass and its awesome! I would definately try it.
